The songs are in the wrong format - they are probably DRM-encrypted WMA files that you are trying to transfer, and the license on those files are wrong; they are either "fixed-term" or lack "transfer rights"

To resolve, either upgrade your music svc subscription, or convert the songs to Mps format

Iv put some music of a cd on to my mp3 but it skips it why??

ok im sorry if this next part is ignorant of me but im just trying to eliminate all the posobilitys here, If you just copyed the music straight from the cd to the mp3 player it wont work, you have to convert the cd to mp3 format and then copy it to the mp3 player, second if you did do that make sure you put it in the devices music folder and not just to the root directory of the device you can use windows media player to do all this for you with no problems just open up windows media player and insert your cd, click on the rip tab and copy the music, after its done there will be a library tab open that and then connect your device, once its recognized by windows media player then from your library select the songs you just copyed and drag them to the sync bar on the right hand side of the screen once thats done then click on the sync button and there you go windows will handle the rest

Phillips mp3 player not being recognized by windows media player

try this... open up a windows with the music you want on the mp3 player, then open a windows with your mp3 player, it should be listed under my computer\your mp3 player\internal storage\music and then just drag and drop your music over to the music folder on your mp3, and please note that might not be the exact location of yours im just using mine as an example, also when you connect it if it asks what you want to do with this, click on open and there you go

Phillips gp gear will not play music downloaded.

The songs that you transferred have a DRM license on them that does not have transfer rights (i.e.: the songs you downloaded can be played on a computer, but cannot be transferred to an mp3 player). The GoGear is giving you this message in hopes that you will Sync it with Windows Media Player and acquire the said transfer rights.

If you download songs that are in true mp3 format, you will not have this problem. Also, if you choose a music service that allows mp3 transfer at your subscription levwel, and continue to pay for that subscription every month, it will also clear your problem.

How do i convert my rhapsody music files to play on my mp3

You have to get Rhapsody's Mp3 only service - I repeat, MP3 ONLY. No other level of Rhapsody service will work with the newer Philips' GoGear's - which is funny, b/c Philips co-branded with Rhapsody on the newer players.

My Phillips Go Gear 8GB MP3 player wont sync music

Windows Media Player 11 ruins this player. Uninstall Windows Media Player 11, and roll back to Windows Media Player 10. Then use version 10 to sync songs to your device.
