This is typically due to the magnetic float in the water tank not rising up to release the magnet switch in the back, telling the machine that there's enough water in the tank to avoid overheating. If this is your issue, use a strong external magnet and hold/move it in the area of the float until you hear a click, at which point the light will come on steady and the machine will start to heat.
This can be caused by the float simply having gotten stuck at the bottom of the tank due to lime/scale buildup, or the float may have gotten waterlogged if the plastic hull around the magnet broke. In the first case you may be able to shake it free or free it with a wooden skewer or long screwdriver. De-scaling the tank with vinegar may also help. In the second case (magnet moves freely in water but sinks to bottom), it can be removed by pushing the spring clip aside with a skewer, but repairing it with glue may be unsuccessful, in which case a new tank is the only option.
Try using it in a totally different wall socket. I don't know *what* it needs exactly, but I've seen this behaviour fixed by moving the Senseo.

You need to put in some vinegar into water holder and let stand over night covering up the little box inside that water jug. Also you can run vinegar through the machine after it starts working . Of course flush it with water thru a few time afterwards. It could be also i tiny coffee grind blocking the Pad holder directly in center where the water runs thru the pad.
