We have the same problem as Kristen with the F68 error on two different Frigidaire FGEF308TNF ranges. Does she have solar panels on her house as we do?

Thank you for your inquiry, Robert Klaum!

I see that your Frigidaire range is displaying an "F68" error code. I am unsure if another member has the same problem due to solar panels. Typically, an "F68" error code means that you have a high voltage condition. This could be an issue with the polarity, supply voltage, or EOC (Electronic Oven Control). I would recommend having a professional technician out to your home for a proper diagnosis to be completed. Best of luck! -Matt

If you are having oven problems with your GE XL44 oven then you need to do a bit of oven troubleshooting. The first part of that problem is to know what the oven fault codes are trying to tell you.

The codes F0, F1, and F7 could either be a problem with the control or the keypad.
-to see what the problem is cause by, push clear/off on the keypad. Then disconnect the ribbon connector from the control. Wait at least 35 seconds to see if the code comes back. If the code comes back then the control is the problem. If the code does not come back, then replace the key panel.

F2 – This means there has been a problem with the temperature of your oven. It could be a cooling fan or air flow problem. Also could be that the oven got too hot in either a baking mode or a cleaning mode.
-check to make sure the contactor contacts are not welded together. If this happens the oven will always be putting out heat, even if turn off. The thermal switch may also have burnt out. If this switch is open then the fan may be bad, causing the thermal switch to activate. The thermistor that senses oven temperature may also bed bad or have a poor connection somewhere.

F3 and F4 - These are oven temperature sensor codes.
- check the sensor by removing power to the range and then removing the sensor. Check that the sensor reads approximately 1100 Ohms at 72 degrees F. Then check the oven sensor lead to make sure that it is not shorted out. Then check the terminals to make sure that you are getting good contact. If everything checks out okay, then replace the control.

F5 – This is a relay safety circuit failure code
-check the lock circuit for problems. Then check the thermistor for high resistance. Press clear/off on the key pad and reprogram the control. If the code is still there then replace the control.
The F5 code can also result from a short loss of power. If you had a power flicker then reset the control.

FC – This shows a problem with the door lock circuit. Check all the wires and the switches. Check the operation of all the switches.

FD – This is a problem with the meat probe. Check the probe wiring and the receptacle where the probe plugs in at. Resistance on the probe should be 30 to 50K ohms at 72 degrees F.

FF – This is a problem with the door motor safety circuit. To fix this the control will need to be replaced.

Frigidaire stove(smooth top -electric) all of sudden started to beep' constantly w/F1 flashing.Tried to reset - unsuccessful. Unplugged & waited an hour to plug back in & still beeping...

Hello,
The F1 error code means a button on the touchpad is stuck, usually pushing clear/off will clear it. Since you have done that and it returns the touchpad needs to be replaced

My husband left a pot of water on our glass top stove it is now stuck to the burner. I turned it off and am waiting for it to cool. Am I doing the right thing?

YES!!! let it cool over night. Then put a little water at the base of the pot to allow it to soften whatever glued the two together. let that sit for a few hours and try to remove the pot. It may take longer (and more water), but it should eventually let loose. Those glass tops are very pricey, so please don't try to force it off as this may cause the top to break! Hope this helps!!

Control panel quit working.

I guess it just dried out. A couple of hours later the panel began working again. Strange. You would think it would be sealed so that spills, etc. couldn't get in there.

Stove stays on and 30 min. later it starts beeping and F1 code

An F1 error code indicates a faulty keypad and /or ERC electronic control.

Frigadaire glass top range- keeps beeping than staying on

Hello sg22,
Welcome,

You said, Yes we cook with the oven, than shut it down/off. a few hours later we hear beeping, and check to find the oven is on. This is an electric range by the way. Any ideas? Finally unpluged it hoping maybe it resets or something.

You only need to unplug it for 5 minutes an if it resets that will do it!
What happened after the unplugging?
