I'm station in Italy and I have a Ford F150, with a Viper 791XV alarm system on it. My truck has been in the shop awaiting parts for months. So of course the battery died and the shop people had to charge it. I drove it home and the alarm was working fine. But when I came back out to wash it up the next day, it won't disarm or do anything. I'm in place where no one has any knowledge on car alarms. All my transmitter doesn't is beep three times that's it. Any help with this problem?

I've replaced the battery in the remote & disconnected the battery for two days know & it still won't reset. So i'm back to square one again.

Yes I've thought about taking that alarm out because its a pain in my A$$ right now. So of course I don't have a clue on alarm systems or electrical wiring. But I just ordered a new replacement remote, so hopefully that might work. If not then i need to take it out, so i can use my truck.

Replace the battery in the remote. Also disconnect the battery to the truck and wait about 5 minutes. Then reconnect the battery.

Have you thought about taking the alarm off of the truck till you get home, where there is more knowledge about alarm systems. These alarm systems are pretty easy to remove. If this is an option let me know. If you need help taking the wires loose and reconnecting.

Hi! As a first course of action please remove the positive battery connector and let it sit for 5mins. then reconnect it. This will reset the system and can get rid of the problem. Please write back on the progress.

I have a viper 791xv carstarter/alarm the battery had to be replaced on the car and the alarm works but the remote sart won't start the car on key pad it shows it 's start but then it beeps and is gone...

The parking light flashes are a diagnostic report to alert you to the reason the remote starter is not working:

5 flashes; brake wire is active
6 flashes; hood pin is active
7 flashes; manual transmission mode is enabled and not initialized
8 flashes; neutral safety wire has no ground or the switch is OFF.

Count the flashes and you will be able to go directly to the problem. Enjoy.

The car itself does not beep when the alarm is armed or disarmed

An output wire is not connected, you'll need to connect the brown wire on the 12 pin harness to the siren, it will be pin number 10. Either that or your siren is bad.

Led light stays on

if you are finished with the install, then it's in valet mode. if you are still working on the alarm it's on because the alarm needs a ground.

Car is completely locked down

Let's hopethat the installer actually put in the valet switch for the Viper! Lcate the valet switch. ALWAYS put mine down by the e-brake lever under dash. (I assume that the alarm is going off? If not, go to next step.

Find the alarm/start brain under dash. Unplug main 6 pin 12 gauge wire harness. Wait 5 minutes, then re-appy the power plug. Alarm "may" go off, then try again.

Hit me back if you need further assstance. TTYL

Driver's door won't unlock with remote

This may be a problem with wiring. I will need to know what the make and model is of the car. Also keyless entry system stock OEM or was that an option you have added? Lastly, did you install this system or was this installed by a cetified DEI corperation?

Thank you,
Luis
