Will adjusting the locking mechanism solve the problem? what kind of adjustment do i need to make on the door lock mechanism? it keeps giving me a uc code (won't spin)
Uc code means unbalanced condition. My research shows this as being an unbalanced load or a faulty control board.

Sounds like a badly adjusted door lock. Either the hasp on the door post is too far in, not allowing the lock to cycle to a complete lock position, or the lock is faulty. The hasp can be adjusted, so try that before looking at replacing the lock mechanism.
To check the door lock, open the door and manually turn the lock mechanism until you hear the lock click in place, then using a round object like a longish 8 mm bolt, hook it into the lock mechanism and pull real hard. It should be impossible to turn the mechanism by hand once it is locked.
It is also possible that the hasp (the bent piece of metal mounted on the door post) is too low. This will allow the lock mechanism to slip over it and not close properly.
F9 is a problem with the oven door lock circuit. If the door is locked, it's probably a bad switch that tells the oven it's locked. If the door isn't locked, it's probably a problem with the lock mechanism.A common problem on many built-in GE ovens (you don't say if yours is built-in or free standing...) is air circulation in the control panel. Fdl error code means a "door lock error code". This error shows up because the door cannot be locked. The door will try to lock six times before displaying the error code. In order to solve it, your door lock switch needs to be replaced.

loosen all 3 bolts, then do them up so that they are pinch tight then push door to close as hard as you can,open door and tighten bolts,close door again to ensure no rattles/leaks and that door locks.keep adjusting till you get it right...

Door lock error
A Door Lock Error occurs if the door cannot be locked. It will try to lock
it 6 times before displaying the error.
Potential Causes
• Door Lock Mechanism broken or removed from the Door
• Check Door Lock/Switch Assembly
• Check the wire harness connections to the Door Lock/Switch Assembly and
Central Control Unit (CCU)
• Door Lock/Switch Assembly Failure
You may need to replace the door lock mechanism if the wire harness checks out OK. Now, if the wires are connected well and the door lock mechanism if working, this could be a more serious issue concerning the Control board.
You can test the door lock mech by using a volt neelde or multimeter as well. use the connector clips for testing the proer voltage.
