Samsung TV UN55F7500 Constantly Flickering On & Off / Won't Turn Off

Hi,

please pull the power plug out again for 15 minutes before powering on the tv. Now, you can remove any unecessary accessories and watch for any issues within the next week. if an issue occurs, please re-do the 15-minute fix and then attempt to update your tv's software. If the issue occurs later, you can re-do the 15 minute fix and then factory reset your tv.

Thank you.

When i turn my samsung tv on,it just clicks on and off, with the red light blinking on and off.it sounds like it wants to power up,but it wont.i have had left my tv on for about 7 hrs now and it just wont...

You likely have the infamous Samsung capacitor problem. A capacitor(s) on your power supply board has failed, or is failing. Youtube has several videos (search "samsing capacitor) that are generic to Samsung TVs, showing how to identify and replace the failed capacitors with parts that are readily available. What it takes, more than anything, is soldering skills. I own the exact same TV you have (P3F variant), and have fixed it. I'm an electrical engineer with the parts available in my basement, but for me, the fix took about 15 - 30 minutes with the most time removing the back cover, plus if you don't have the parts, a trip to an electrical parts store or Radio Shack, or an order to DigiKey (less than $10). Some have reported that haranguing Samsung customer service brought free fixes even though the warranty has expired. If all else fails, I'd be willing to repair your power supply board, but you'd have to mail it to me and I'm not sure how contact info is passed on Fixya.

Samsung TV turns itself off every 10/15 minutes

I had a similar problem with my Phillips 42 in. LCD HD TV.

Here's the problem. The Power Supply Board. I opened my TV up(warranty was up of course) and found several bad capacitors. Phillips and several other companies were sold capacitors that although were highly rated failed within 5 years because of a lack of preservatives. All sorts of electronic equipment is now being effected due to these defective capacitors.
Solutions?
1. Take it in and have it fixed
2. Open it up, check the board for faulty capacitors(bulged or leaking) Buy a new Power supply board and install it.
3. Remove PSB, remove faulty capacitors and replace with compatible new ones.

Hope this helps

Takes awhile for tv to come on!

Hello Ruben,
This type of failure is common on these TVs. The power supply might need to be replaced due to bulging capacitors. If you are able to replaced the capacitors, it is a cheaper alternative.
Check the link below to find service parts.

Sony Trinitron TV takes multiple manual clicks to turn on.

If you mean the actual mains switch needs multiple cycles, it could be faulty.. does anything, say a power indicator, come on when the TV doesn't?
If the actual switch is OK, then you probably have a fault in the power supply section... often faulty electrolytic capacitors. U need service.
