Can't Connect with P2P services

I've had my router for about 2 years now, and when I didn't have it, I could unplug my ethernet cable and play my Playstation 2 online with games such as Burnout 3: Takedown, Burnout: Revenge, and Killzone, but when we got the router, everything just stopped. I cannot use applications such as Limewire or BitTorrent, and I cannot play games such as World of Warcraft, use my Nintendo Wii, Playstation Portable, or my Nintendo DS online.
Can anyone help me?

Who do you have for an ISP ??? If you are a Verizon DSL customer, contact CSR Support @ 1-800-567-6789 and you should be back in business soon. If you have a different ISP - ie-Roadrunner - switch to DSL

"Ethernet cable unplugged"

A few things to try. Plug the cable into a different port on the router to rule out a bad port on router. Try a different ethernet cable (they do go bad). If this is an older router it may not be able to do logic swap on the pins and you would need to use a cross-over cable and not a straight through. Also check in device manager and make sure the computer is not allowed to disable the lan adapter in power saving mode. Also if your really want you can test your ethernet port by buying or making your own loopback plug. Look up ethernet stander T568A. You basically would buy a empty ethernet jack and run a short wire from pin 1 to pin 3 and a wire from pin 2 to pin 6. This will simulate sending data to another device (the other device will simply be the receiving pins on your own ethernet jack.

My xbox doesnt want to pickup the ethernet connection

There are two ways in which you can address this issue:

1) Attempt to connect wirelessly. You can access this feature via "Settings" on your XBox home page. After setting up your XBox to automatically connect to your internet router (by entering the password and name), you should be able to log into and play on XBox Live.

2) Connect via ethernet cable.
Although you've already tried this, it's possible there is an issue with your modem and not your XBox. Routers and modems usually have a shelf life of about 2-3 years-- if you have had yours for longer than that, it might be time to invest in a new one. Another issue could be a faulty ethernet cable-- they're usually pretty cheap (around ten bucks), so if the above fixes don't work go into a local electronics store, purchase one, try it out, and if it doesn't work return it immediately and you should get your money back.

I cant connect to internet

There are lots of possibilities here since you didn't give us much info to go on. Some helpful information would be:

1. DSL, Cable Modem, Sat Modem, other ISP
2. Is the problem with the router, or the network connection
3. What are the model numbers on your router, and if that doesn't connect directly to the wall, what does it connect to.
4. are you connecting from a desktop or laptop
5. are you connected to the router over wireless, or Ethernet cable
6. are there any other devices in your house/apartment that can connect to the internet (is 1 device down, or are all the devices down)

With the little information we have, I would suggest unplugging your router for about 30 seconds, then plug it back in. It will take anywhere from 30 seconds to several minutes to reset and reconnect.

If this doesn't fix the issue, give some more details and I will give the next step.

Thanks,

I had my WNDA3100v2 working smoothly for the whole year. Somehow 2 days ago, it didn't find any network and completely disconnect. I have tried to uninstall/install several times but it didn't...

I doubt it's your software- I think that either the network cable or ethernet card if wired, wireless ethernet card if not, has gone bad. I'd see if you could get a known-good cable and card/s to see if that is true

I have a Cayman 3347w wireless router and I am trying to use one of the wired slots to connect my xbox 360 to the internet. the xbox will not connect. is this router xbox compatable?

Please try the following steps below;

To make a router connection to Xbox LIVE:
  1. Before you connect any cables, turn off your router, modem, PC, and Xbox 360 console. (Unplug your modem from its power source to turn it off.)
  2. Connect one end of an Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port on your modem and the other end to the Ethernet input port on the back of your router.
  3. With another Ethernet cable, connect one end to one of the router's Ethernet output ports. Connect the other end to your PC's Ethernet port.
  4. With the third Ethernet cable, connect one end to another of the router's Ethernet output ports. Connect the other end to the Ethernet port on the back of the Xbox 360 console.
  5. Turn on your modem, then your router, then your PC.
  6. Make sure your PC can access the Internet. If not, you may need to configure the router for Internet access. For help configuring the router using your PC, check the instructions that came with the router.
  7. Turn on your Xbox 360 console and sign in with your profile.
  8. If this is the first time you've turned on your Xbox 360 console, see Create Your Gamer Profile to get started with both the Xbox 360 system and Xbox LIVE play.
If you're unable to connect to Xbox LIVE, you can try to diagnose the problem right on your console. Go to My Xbox and open System Settings, then select Network Settings (setup XBOX using Automatic Configuration DHCP), Test Xbox LIVE Connection.

Hope this helps!

Please clarify what you mean by ''Connect with an ethernet cable''

Ethernet cable means CAT5 or UTP for others or LAN cable. The connection should be LAN port of your computer to LAN1 of your router.

And you can connect also the internet cable usually ethernet cable from your internet provider directly to (ethernet cable)WAN port of your router to get signal from your internet provider.

Also if you get this message, this could also means you still don't set up or configure the router's settings to communicate when your LAN and router. They must see each other to access the router's utility webpage.
