The water fill tubes might be bad with your fridge and there is a problem with the water tubes too which will need to be replaced as well.

Ice build up , leave door open to let ice melt for 1-2 hours

Dispenser works with a motor which might be jammed. When you see the ice storage bin, there is a steel coil which rotates with the motor and ice falls down from the dispenser. See if the coil rotates at all and if so then the motor must be defective.

Check the fill area of the ice maker for an ice blockage.

- make sure the tube on the back of the Ref. is connected to the white rectangled block of the fill tube.

- check to make sure the water filter in the bottom of the unit was not kicked and has popped out or is not seated / locked in place.

- Check to see if water is actually getting to the unit.. from the 1/4 inch supply line.

If your icemaker is the common one there here is a way to test it:

Check the plug to the door first. Then turn the ice machine head off unplug the refrigerator for a few minutes. Plug it in and turn on icemaker. this part problably just lead back to squre one. have someone push the button for water while you are listening at back bottom for humming sound,if you dont hear it its probably a bad water valve.

I HAVE TRIED A BLOW DRYER ON THE INSIDE OF THE FREEZER DOOR WHERE THE ICE GOES INTO FOR 5 - 10 MIN.AND IT STARTED WORKING AGAIN  :-)

replace the dispenser control under the front panel on the freezer door if need detaild instuction after receiving parts reply to me

Sounds like its the evap fan motor to me. Not very easy to axcess. I have had one GE make the same noises you are describing to me. Let me know if you are going to attempt it and need more assistance
