I have a 8 year old Bosch dishwasher model # shu3032uc /14. There is no water getting in. I put water in, turn the dishwasher on and the water drains out. I do not see any water under the dish washer.

I have covered this in several previous solutions for Bosch dishwashers. I have copied the text below from a previous request for help, rather that write the entire thing again.

If this doesn't help, please post back and I'll try to assist you further.

"It sounds like the flood protection system has been activated. This is most likely due to water in the bottom of the dishwasher (under the washing compartment) or it could be due to a faulty float or float switch.

The first thing to do is check the float inside the dishwasher. It's the dome/mushroom shape plastic part in the bottom of the wash compartment. Have a feel around under the dome and check there isn't anything trapped underneath it (maybe cutlery or a build up of waste). If something is stuck in there, simply removing it should be enough to get you running again.

If it's clean underneath try pushing the dome down gently in case it's just stuck in the up position. If it pushes down, lift it up and down a few more times, clean underneath it and make sure it drops down on it's own when you lift it and let go. If it falls freely, you're good to go.

If there's nothing under the float and it moves up and down freely, next check for water in the bottom of the washer. To do this, tilt the washer forwards then backwards to about 20 degrees. Obviously, if it's under-counter you'll need to pull it right out before doing this. If you see a pool of water on the floor then you have water leaking into the bottom of the washer!

There are several possible causes of this - some are simple and easy to correct - but you should do these checks first, then post back here for further assistance."

Bosch SHU3032UC/U12 is not draining during the washing cycle.

For Bosch Dishwasher Ascenta models, open the door to reset it. Hold the Start-Reset button for about 5 seconds or until the Active indicator turns off. Shut the door of the dishwasher to allow it to thoroughly drain before turning it off.
This should reset the cycle drain.

Does my Bosch SHU3032UC have a heat booster?

The dishwasher has a built in instantaneous water heater, so even if the water feeding the d/w is cold the machine will heat it the the temp required for the cycle you have choosen. Reducing the temp will not effect the wash quality at all, in fact having a lower temp or cold water filling the machine will make the drying cycle at the end of the program more effective.
Hope this helps, please leave feedback.

Our dishwasher is five years old and now it is not

Sounds like you might have a bad water valve. Before you change the water valve, see if the valve under your sink is your problem... Turn it off and and back on to see if it helps. Sometimes hard water will clog the valve. If that doesn't help, you may need to replace the dishwashers water valve. Definitely worth fixing. Hope this helps

Bosch dishwasher shu3032uc-14 doesn't clean very well tried different things but no help sometimes i can catch top spinner not working all the holes are clean where is the water level supposed to be and...

Pour a gallon of white vinegar in bottom run halfway thru wash cycle turn off let unit sit overnight to properly soak-then run a couple of times to rinse out vinegar(vinegar dissolves calcium which causes unit to not function properly) also check unit inlet for contaminates and clean as neccesary install inline filter if not one there..(the hot water tank will tell if you have a calcium problem(hard water problem)shut off unit undo relief valve on tank hook up hose to bottom then drain check for white chunks),calcium wreaks havoc on all household appliances and shortens there lifespan!!! :)

Maytag Dishwasher Model DWU9200BAB

Do you have an air gap between the disposal and the dishwasher? If not required raise the hose and as high as you can. It must be above the water level in the sink. Try attaching it to the underside of the counter. At some point the hose should be above 32 inches. It the problem is with the dishwasher itself. Don't fix, replace. They are not really designed to last over 10 years. The new ones , especially in the last year or two are a BIG improvement over any older one. So quiet you can't tell they are even running, they clean so much better and are much more energy efficient. Stainless steel interiors are just a fad. The plastic tubs are actually less likely to leak and are by there nature more quiet.
