I just picked up this same product at a yard sale and when i turn it on, i cant take a picture In the screen, above the battery sign it says FEE, what does that mean?

I realize this is an old post, but I also picked up the same item & have the same problem. Anyone know the fix? It's a Brookstone SKU#411884. I purchased it in an auction, brand new in the box. The filter is clean and shows no sign of previous use. HELP I WANT TO USE IT! I'VE LOOKED ALL OVER THE WEB & CAN'T FIND THE PRODUCT ANYWHERE. :(

If when you turn the camera on there is a red squiggly arrow on the LCD screen, this is actually a repair issue with the camera. It is the flash charging indicator switch having failed and it will need to be replaced.
