We have the soap in, door completely shut, picked the normal cycle and all that happens is that the normal cycle light continues to blink when we try to push the start button. The door won't lock and start the washer. We have unplugged the washer and plugged it back in hoping to reset it, but it did not work. Can you help?
Check you door latch. When you open the door, there should be a black square hole on the frame and a black round hole above it with a pin sticking out. The pin is probably broken off and the door latch assembly needs to be replaced.

Our HE3 is doing the same thing. I checked the door latch and everything looks like it's still intact. The start button doesn't respond at all, though.

We are having the same problem! I checked the latch and it was not broken and is stil present; however, in messing with it, it appears that I have locked the latch and can't get it to release and now I can't shut the door.
Having the sane problem. Door latch is working because diagnostic test program works fine. Could it be the control board??
The washer starts normally but continues to try to adjust the load and reports "sensing" for an additional 45 minutes or more on every cycle.
