Diplomat cooker model no. adp4230 ( Softline) I am looking for the wiring diagram for the grill energy regulator switch. Or a picture.

ISOLATE THE MAINS VOLTAGE TO THE COOKER AND GRILL, if it has a plug unplug it.
There is a regulator on the switch, you will need a tester, if this is working and continuity through the switch reducing as you increase or rotate the switch, that's working. Go to the back top a regulator is attached to the chassis of the cooker inspect for exterior damage, if not check continuity it should only conduct in one direction, and not to the chassis, if it is conducting in all , or opposite directions replace the component. You should be able to collect one from a small electrical repair shop.

If you operate the grill with door closed, cut-out will come into operation and the grill will not light. pull oven out of the wal,l undo the screws that are in the galvanized cover, lift up the cover and press the red reset button. put it all back together & it should be okay.

ISOLATE MAINS POWER BEFORE REMOVING
The LED display uses low voltage input, often a connection problem causes the display to stop working, check wiring carefuly, as small light connectors is used. If all wiring connections look and feel secure, you have to dig deeper, a multimeter would be handy, to measure input voltage, but a level of understanding electrics or even better electronics would be required. If unsuccessful referr to whitegoods.co.uk for a replacement you will need the model and serial numbers to check for the correct part.

I Just recently had the same problem, also with a diplomat gas oven..
The problem I found was down to a small resetable component under the main cover. ..
It took me ages to find the problem and I had taken the whole electical parts of the oven to bits before 'accidentaly' coming across this 'thermal switch' (located inside the main cover, at the top, behind the display module).. - to reset this there is a tiny red button between the connectors.. press this - and it should all be fine again... : One importnat note is that this may be tripping as a consequence of the fan not running or by my thinking not running on after the oven is switched off, leaving the casing to heat up and then trip this switch component.. - if this component is faulty it can be found in RS components or Farnell components.. look for Thermal swich manual reset part no: L100C 9082 470.

You need to get an electrician to wire it in to a 30amp cooker outlet. It is 30amp rather than 13amp (like most sockets). It should go to its own fuse in the fuebox

grill will not light, door was shut when grill was on.

Is it just a 2 wire connection element?
