You'll have to open her up to see how extensive the spill might be. Not to hard to open up, but you have to be very careful. You can purchase the service manual, and it will provide you with instructions on opening up your unit.

I would suggest taking it to a service center for a thorough cleaning. They can clean the circuit board by giving it a ultrasonic bath, which is a very thorough cleaning process. Or you can sit there and clean the entire unit with a cotton swab and some isopropyl alcohol (DO NOT USE rubbing alcohol!).

My Pioneer CDJ 800 MK 2 - will not play in the vinyl mode, the cue button is flashing _ if i take it out of vinyl mode it will play fine , do i need to reset it?

Does the unit play in vinyl mode if you turn the platter by hand?. If this the case the commom fault in the "sheet switch" which is under the platter and sensors the pressure when you press the platter.

The "sheet switch" and it is a circular plastic "sandwich" of multiple contacts and when constant pressure is put on it (i.e something is sat on it for a long time), it tends to stick together giving the effect you are pressing it when you're not.
The part will cost you about £30.00 + fitting - unless you are confident enough to do it yourself

Spilled beer on plater Pioneer CDJ-800MK2

Well, the problem is that you spilled beer on your platter.

More than likely the beer dried up, and now it's all sticky.

Professional cleaning is highly suggested.

Spilled drink on cdj800

Usually the platter is held on by a simple cir clip around the record spindle , sometimes covered with a small plastic disc on the top .
but I suggest that first you check the actual motor below the deck chances are this is a direct drive system ( no rubber wheel on the fulcrum motor being driven by a primitive spindle ) as the older type are so unreliable now days and newer decks are mostly direct .
with the power unplugged remove the deck from the case a series of screws at the base gently pries apart and check for spillage , you will need to get as much sugar substance or beer off the deck as you can a small paint brush with methylated spirits is good as it evaporates and cleans well , good to use cleaning the motor also particularly around the bearings .. with careful inspection and methodical observance you shouldn't have too much of a problem , also if this has a preamp fitted check for spillage on that also .. then afterward a small hairdryer will clear the rest .... good luck Regards Vortash

Spilled coke on my CDJ 800MK2

Clean all the rubber and plastic parts with humidified towels, clean all teh metallic parts with 70% isopropyl alcohol solution, to prevent oxidation.
Be careful no liquid is being dropped or leaking inside unit when cleaning.

If coke had been spilled inside the unit, on the circuits, you will need to take apart the unit and dry well using an hairdryer from distance , if circuits are sticky, use cotton and pure isopropyl alcohol to clean after drying.

Cdj 800

More than likely the touch/sensor pad underneath the platter is bad. This can only be replaced by a professional.

Cdj-800MK2 jog problem

From the video, it just looks like there might be some debris/dirt underneath the platter. There is a sensor pad under the platter, and if there is anything disrupting the pad, you'll have those issues.

Try opening her up, and cleaning her out. Or take her to a service center for a professional cleaning.

Pioneer CDJ-800 Vinyl Mode Broken

This is a common issue. There is a faulty switch on the CDJ800s, which needs to be replaced. Unfortunately, this is not an easy fix, and will need to be serviced by a professional.

If your unit is under warranty, I suggest sending it off to Pioneer for repair. If you cannot find anyone locally, our company offers nationwide service.
