Question about Apple iPod touch
Hi I recently received an Ipod Nano from a friend and I set it up and everything worked great. I just locked the screen and I can't unlock it. I called my friend and he said that he forgot the 4 digit combination. Does anyone have a quick fix for this? i cant unlock my ipod touch it keep saying disable
There are basically three ways to unlock the Screen Lock on your iPod:
Everything on your iPod will be erased.
This should not be a problem if you have all of your songs, videos, and other media stored in iTunes and you can synchronize once again after getting the iPod unlocked. Besides, if you don’t unlock your iPod it’s useless right? Learn how to Restore your iPod using the instructions from Apple’s site.
I've tried the below method, and my music is still intact]
1. Plug in ipod.
2. Open “My Computer”
3. Look for the removable device (which is your ipod).
4. Open the folder, search for this hidden file : _locked.
rename or remove(delete) this file.
5. Eject your ipod.

Hey, i had the exact same problem with mine i acidently locked it...
All you have to do it plug it in to your computer and it should come up in itunes
You theen just press restore and it takes about 5 minutes
When you unplug you select your language and its back to normal
the only problem is, is that while restoring it, it gets rid of all the stuff on the ipod
But if its on your computer it shouldnt matter anyway :)

If its the ipod Touch that is disabled, use Ziphone.
Use the Ziphone ipod touch and iphone jailbreak GUI to put the ipod in recovery mode. Then restore it using iTunes.

to fix this you will need to erase all the data on the ipod(s).
plug the ipod into the computer using the included usb cable. open itunes (if it doesn't open automatically) in the column on the left side of the window there is an icon showing your ipod's name. click on it then click on the button that says "restore ipod"
WARNING: this will erase all the content on the ipod (you can put it back on later)
it will ask you to confirm. hit ok and keep your ipod plugged in as it restores it to it original state. pick the language you prefer and then load your music back on the device
