This error message indicates that the printer has failed to read information from the chip on the black printer cartridge.

This is either.

1. Black cartridge not fully pushed into place (I've been called out to a couple like this)

2. Faulty chip on the black cartridge - effectively not responding to the printer 'talking' to it.

3. Fault on the main board of the printer.

Solution

1. Push the cartridge fully home.

2,3. If you have an old black cartridge, try that. The message should change to Replace Toner, if it does, its the chip on the cartridge, if it doesn't its the printer.

Error code 093-921

If you are seeing any or all of these error codes on the Dell 3130cn Laser Pinter that there is a Firmware Update to address this issue. However, the firmware cannot be applied when there is an error present, so first try reseating all toners. You may need to repeat this several times before errors are cleared. Once error-free, download the Firmware from the Dell Support website and apply.

Reset the Cyan toner properly.

  1. Verify all packaging has been removed from the printer cartridge. This includes any tape or red handles. Also verify the toner cartridge is properly installed.
  2. Remove the toner cartridge and clean the toner housing of any excess toner with a clean dry cloth. Reseat the toner cartridge when finished cleaning.
  3. Check that all toners are Dell branded and not refills. Take note of all PPIDs (Serial Numbers). Check that all toners are for the correct model
    • If any toners are non Dell, swap with another toner
  4. Run diagnostics on the toner cartridge sensor.
    1. Power off the printer.
    2. Hold down the and buttons on the printer and power the printer on.

    6. Press the or button until DI-8 for (yellow) DI-9 for (Magenta) DI-b for (Cyan) and DI-a for (Black) appears and press the button twice. It is only necessary to run the diagnostic on the toner cartridge to which the error applies

Error code 093 922 check K Cart

The k should be the black toner cartridge. The cartridge might be defective. Try a new cartridge.

Error c cart

Try the following...
-Remove the cyan cartridge from your printer and close any open doors.
-Turn the printer off.
-Turn the printer on again.
-Firmly re-install the cyan toner cartridge.
This will force your printer to actively look for a new toner and hopefully it will be accepted this time. If the problem remains install the old toner cartridge (if available) to make sure the error disappears.

Assuming it does it would appear there may be a genuine fault with the toner cartridge. If not there is almost certainly a sensor error inside the printer and I would advise contacting Dell (if it is within warranty) or a technician if it is outside of warranty.

On my Dell 3110cn printer, I keep getting the following error message: "Error C Cart 093-919" I bought this refurbished yellow toner cartridge from a reputable dealer on EBAY and it is basicaly...

remanufactured toners, or off brand toners are sometimes not compatible. I would contact the dealer you bought the toner from and tell them the cartridge is defective and demand an exchange or refund.

Dell 3110cn Printer prints shades of pink

Have you pulled out the imaging drum and transfer roller to see if they are caked in Magenta toner? if so they will need to be cleaned off. Would also suggest blowing out the area around the drum to rid of loose toner in that area.
