Product jensen uv8 nov. 2007 model in a trooper 1996 auto

Ok thanks for the tips so far...
ive got it installed it seems all wires are hooked up properly i even found the right wire for the power antenna. i have the pink wire on a bolt attached to the body but when i insert the dvd it tells me a "warning it is illegal to operate the vehicle while viewing a dvd". and the screen stays blue. the manual just shows the pink wire going to the parking break ground but i do not know which one that is. i would like the dvd feature to function even while moving not that i can watch it but my kids can enjoy it. should i, can i tap into the black wire for the battery ground.
the unit is a jensen uv8 manufactured in nov. of 2007. my ride is a 1996 trooper ls automatic. ive tried that code that says to 543210 thing and it does not respond but the remote does everything else so i no the battery is good.
anybody can give the lowdown. much appreciated

well i got it working. thank you. basically the pink wire is grounded coming from the back of the radio to a bolt attached at the floor. ive then cut that wire in half and basically put a on off switch in it. a couple times on off and the video pops up. thanks for the simple way you described the solution, it clicked in my head

Hit setup then press 5-4-3-2-1-0. It will then go to a hidden menu turn parking brake override on.

Hi,

The pink wire in most instances is the DVD's sensor that the vehicle is not in motion and is parked. It then allows the DVD player to display the movie not the warning message nor the blue screen.
Your description "...pink wire on a bolt attached to the body..." indicates that said wire is constantly grounded. The DVD then cannot sense that the vehicle was parked. What this tell us is that the pink wire must first have a +12VDC before it is grounded. This changeover from + to 0 is the trigger. What is required is to have a single pole double throw switch. One end terminal is wired to ACC B+12 while the other to ground with the center terminal to the pink wire. Moving the switch from position OFF to ON (+12 to GND) simulates the parking brakes condition and will enable DVD playback.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Can't find Jensen UV10 e-brake bypass code.

Ok what you gotta do is connect the pink e-brake wire with the black wire that is already connected to the radio as the grounding.

Hooking up backup camera to jensen uv8

That wire needs to run back and be hooked to the revese bulb. When the car is in reverse, activating the reverse lights the unit will get a signal knowing that you can use the camera

Jensen uv8 and amp hook up

Remote wire from Jensen is blue or blue/white. Use Blu/white if there is one. . RCA's, for subs, use the rear if no subwoofer pre-outs are available. If unit has sub pre-uts, use them as the head ubit (stereo) would have a level that can be raised or lowered thus giving you more control over the input to the sub amp.

Uv8 some seakers dont work in dvd/cd mode

You have the wrong wire hooked up to turn on your amplifire. You used the blue wire but need to use the Blue/White wire!! That is an amp turn on wire Thje blue one is for a power antenna and goes dead when you put in a disc. The tweeters play because they are hooked direct to your Jensen. You'll be jamming in no time.

Jensen uv8

They have it installed that way because they have signed a purchase agreement stating they will not bypass. If they do, they can lose the line.

Do this and you will never have to mess with the E Brake or any toggle ever again...:

1: Go into AM/FM mode
2: Hit "setup" on the remote control
3: Enter 543210 on the remote, listening for the beep for each number entered
4: A new menu will appear. Touch the button that has the hammer/screwdriver on it in the upper left-hand part of the screen.
5: Select Brake bypass to "ON" and hit the "X" near the bottom of the screen.
6: Use the unit wisely and above all safely. A ticket is one thing, causing a fatal accident due to negligence is another.
