Marantz PMD 350 CD player/Cassette deck

This is discontinued Marantz combination CD player/Cassette deck. The CD tray gets stuck in the open positon. If pressure is put on the right side of the tray when the close button is pushed--it will close. Without taking this action the tray will jam and not move. Do you have any suggestion besides taking it into a repair tech?

Well if you want to DIY you should open the coves, spay some oil on the mechanics and ensure they are running smoothly, if you spray grease on lens you will damage it, be careful.

On a kenwood KR597 reciever, where do i hook up my KE597 graphics equalizer. Also must i remove my DP-R797 cd player to hook up my Maeantz PMD520 Cassette deck? Finally divorced

If you only have one set of tape in/out connectors, then hooking up two tape decks and an equalizer is going to be difficult. You could hook the "tape out" to one tape deck, that tape's output to the second tape, and the second tape's out to the equalizer, connecting the output of the eq back to your receiver....

How can I digitize cassette tapes using the Marantz PMD670?

Take a set of RCA Jack cords (4 jacks) and on the tape recorders "out" jacks attach one pair and on the PMD 670's "In" Jacks attach the other pair. Set the tape a few seconds before where you want to record , set your levels to where you want them, start the recorder then start recording with the PMD.

You may need to test record a few seconds to make sure the recording is at the level you want it to be. Plug in a set of headphones to the PMD and listen in from time to time to make sure it's recording OK.

There you go.

Best,

Dan
