I had an E-13 error code on my Bosch 500 series washer.  The drain pump  impeller was plugged.  Access the drain impeller at the bottom front right corner.  Just put a pen in the hole and turn the cover.  Then you need to manually drain the washer.  I used a shop vac by just turning the cap until it started to leak and vacuum the water as it comes out, this takes quite a while.  When you get it drained you can take the cap completely off.  When I did I found a wipe in the impeller.  I took it out and put it back together and the washer worked just as before.  Good Luck!!

If im not mistaken, the E-13 error code is a drain timeout code. This means the pump has run a certian amount of time without fully draining itself. This could be anything from a clogged drainline in your home to a clogged drainline in the machine, your pump is clogged, pump is burned up, no power to the pump, bad board etc. Most of the time its either something jammed in the pump, or its burned up (from something being jammed in it). Just have to take her apart to find out for sure.

As with some of the other solutions to this error after unplugging from the wall and popping the cover off and unlatching the door with the "emergency" latch release I was able to drain the tub wuth my shop vac then removing the cover to the pump cleanout was able to vacuum the remaining water from the pump . I discovered several buttons and other debris in the fins of the pump, removed those and reassembled. Good as new!

On my Bosch Nexxt 500 Series Washer, I had had a hard time making it complete the spin cycle. Sometimes I would have to rerun the spin cycle several times for it to complete. I took of the front access panel and the lower rear panel. From research I had gathered that there was a very good chance that the problem stemed from the large hose that goes from the bucket to the pump. Sure enough, there was a small hole on the outside of this tube, plus on the inside where the stopper ball is located, the seal around the ball housing had been comprimised. It had pulled away in a small area towards the back of the housing ring. This hose has a history of problems. I am in the process of getting a replacement. I know Loews and Sears Appliances carry Bosch Washers and possibly parts. This is what I have found out to this point. While you have the washer apart be sure to pull all your houses and check if they are clear. Be Also to check any inline filters on these hoses. I used an air hose to blow out my hoses. Be sure not to use too much pressure, this could compromise your hoses integrity. Also, check the rubber ring seal around the bucket. Check your manual on how to clean system, I believe page 21. One last thing, it is very important to have your washer level. I also removed my pump and cleaned it.

Drain hose is too long could also cause E-13 error. The installation guide indicates it's length should be approx 85inch. Obviously the power of pump is not enogh.

I agree with the sock eating washing machine... Good Call... Pink kid's sock with bobby pin in my drain chamber.

Not having a shop vac handy, I tilted the machine back and placed 4 2x4s in a stack under the front left corner. This allowed me to slide a shallow tub below the drain area. Partially opening the drain cover allowed the water to drain into the tub without spilling more than a 1/2 cup. Between tubfulls, re-tighten the drain cover.

E13

The E13 error code on the WFMC series Bosch washer`s refer to a drainage problem, as you may or may not already know. ( or in Bosch terms "pump time exceeded" )

Anyway, here`s the most likely way to remedy a E13 code.

Here the tips... support/t7599677-error_code_13

Error code E:13 on my 500 plus series washer

Hi,
The E13 error code on your Bosch washer refer to a drainage problem or the pump time might have been exceeded
Either it might be due to a clogged pump, improper detergent being used, ( must use "HE" detergent ) hence suds not allowing a proper drain cycle. You should clean water drainage pipe and/or drain hose. Turn selector to off and restart 'drain, program or, on 500 plus machines, the 'refresh' program. It also says this is caused by using too much detergent. Bosch recommends using half of what the manufacturer recommends when using HE detergents. They don't recommend regular detergents. First run the short wash or refresh cycle without detergent and hopefully your lines will clear.

Thank you !!

Code E13

For a Bosch washing machine, Error 13 is pumping time exceeded. So, in general, the issue is pump related. Things to check would be if the pump is blocked (it can be cleaned out if you can get the service door in the front panel off), check the wiring connections to the pump, and check the drain hose to make sure it is not blocked.
