If you have some region-locked DVDs and you can't play on your DVD player, you can remove the region code by just get a dvd copy disc without region codese. You can try Leawo Blu-ray Copy which enables you to remove region code from Blu-ray and DVD.

Invalid region When I put a disc in, I get this

This means that the region code on the disk (which determines where it may be played) does not match up with the region of your DVD drive.

Normally the region code can be changed, but only a limited number of times.

Try to make that if you buy a DVD online, it has the correct region code for your player

Hi my dell inspiron 530 computer recently can't play disc ,so like most people i checked for solutions for this problem ,non of them worked which got me furious until i found out that my Region fo

To change the Region code on your DVD player, open Control Panel - System - Hardware - Device manager, and click on DVD/CD ROM drives, then right click on the DVD drive and click Properties then click on DVD Region.
You can enter a new region and it also shows you how many changes have been made.
NOTE you can make only 4 changes and the player will lock permanently on the 4th change.
If you want to play DVDs from any region you maybe able to upgrade the firmware to make it region free BUT if you make a mistake or installed the wrong firmware the player will be a piece of junk.
The best solution to make the player region free is to install a piece of software (Passkey for DVD) that allows you to play DVDs from any region and Passkey for Blu-ray that allows you to play Blu-rays from any region. There are several available on the Internet but my favourite is DVD-Region Free From: -

My dvd keeps opening and I am unable to play disc

Clean smudges and fingerprints off of disc with microfiber rag and a little water.  Try again.  Your disc will not play if it is heavily scratched.  Your disc will not play if the region code on the back of the DVD case does not match the region code of the back of your DVD player or look in your manual.  The DVD should play on everything if it is region 0.  Try other DVDs to isolate if it is the DVD disc or the player.  Go to the box store and get you the DVD optical laser lens cleaning kit for cheap and give that a shot.  If that don't work, then throw this piece of sh.t away and go on e-bay and get you a region free DVD player that will play all discs.

Wrong Regional Disc.

DVDs are ecoded with region codes to indicate what area of the world they are made for. These codes may be 1,2,3, etc depending on which region they are made for.
DVD player read these codes and if the disc region code does not match the region the device is made for, the player will not play the disc.
Region 1 is for USA so most DVDp players made for use in USA require region 1 discs.
Some DVD players called multi region DVD players can be set to play different region DVDs but they are typically more expr=ensive then one region players and the code must be changed each time a different region disc is played.
