The best way to determine if air is reletavely clean is to make sure that the air filter is clean and that you drain out water from tanks daily. For a visual/ verify that air is clean, install a water trap /filter to the end of the airline like the one pictured here:

Compressor comes wont build up any air. What can I do to it

You need to determine what type of air compressor it is? Rotary screw, reciprocating or something else. Most questions on this site are for reciprocating compressors which is the type that has pistons like an engine in a car. The next step would be to determine if the air compressor is driven by an electric motor or a gasoline engine. Your question appears to be incomplete, I assume you are explaining the air compressor comes on, (assuming the air compressor is driven by an electric motor) meaning the electric motor starts up & is running but the air compressor is not build any air pressure in the tank? If this is accurate, the next step would be to determine how the motor or engine drives the compressor? Most likely it's belt driven. You need to confirm the drive belt has not broken and that it's on the pulleys or sheaves, then confirm the belt is turning the air compressor itself. If this is the case then your air compressor could have a problem with the valves, pistons, piston rings or controls. The majority of problems I read about have to do with small air compressors driven by electric motors. If you hear air pressure when the compressor is running, you could have something very simple like the drain on the tank was left open and the pressure cannot build up because it is leaking out. Closing the drain would be the solution to that. It could be an air line or fitting leaking too much air, preventing the compressor from building pressure. If that isn't the case and the machine has been working fine and this is something that happened all of a sudden, there could be a broken valve insid the air compressor. If this Is not a reciprocating air compressor, then the troubleshooting steps would be very different. You would still need to confirm the motor is driving the air compressor but you could have a more complicated problem if this is an industrial rotary screw air compressor. I find most of my good answers in the manuals that come with the equipment. I would recommend beginning with the manufactures website and or calling them for technical support. I do it all the time. It's super helpful.

Compressor comes on but wont blow cold air

Hello jpaul, I understand that your air conditioner is not cooling properly. Here are some simple troubleshooting tips to help resolve this issue:

· When was the last time the filter was cleaned? Restricted air flow from a soiled air filter can cause air conditioner to not cool properly. Make sure there is nothing blocking the airflow to the unit like blinds, drapes, furniture, etc which could restrict air distribution.

· Confirm that the condenser coil is clean and not restricted by any trees, bushes, etc since the coils could possibly be blocked or dirty.

· Verify that the plug is not damaged and try resetting the unit. This can be done by pressing the GFI plug on the unit.

· Do not use an extension cord.

If issue persists, I would suggest contacting an experienced service technician to determine the precise cause.

When I push reset button all lights come on for about 2 seconds and trips reset breaker in plug.

Hi chip faust - When was the last time the filter was clean? Restricted air flow from dirty air filter can caused air conditioner to turn on and off rapidly. Make sure there is nothing blocking the airflow to the unit like drapes, blinds, furniture, etc which could restrict air distribution. When was the last time you cleaned the outside condenser coils? Confirm that the condenser coil is clean and not restricted by any trees, bushes, etc. Verify that the plug is not damaged and try resetting the unit. If any of these suggestions prove to be ineffective, then the unit could possibly have faulty PC power board, faulty compressor or power supply. Connect with a professional to accurately pinpoint any potentially more serious issues.

I am using an iwata eclipse cs airbrush with an iwata compressor. the comopressor seems to be working fine when power, but the airbrush is not getting and air. when i push down for air release, nothing...

Air brushes us a Theory called a "venturi" in where air pressure lowers the pressure where the paint is kept and causes it to go out the nozzle. I would try seeing if there is an obstruction in the hoses to the brush and confirm that the compressor is moving air. If none of these things are an issue also while cleaning the parts may give the appearance that the item is clean then try soaking them over night in paint thinner and replacing the O-rings and gaskets.

Hi I am Armando and I have a LG AC Mo # LSN180CE and I start to hear a bearing rattle noice right after the compressor, seems to me like it. The evaporator is like 20' o 25' away inside of the room, the...

First of all confirm where the sound comes from whether from Indoor or out door. If from indoor, the blower bearing worn out/ blower wheel broken.
If from out door, fan blade broken (replace fan blade)/compressor internal sound(replace compressor)/compressor seating bush worn out.(replace new bushes).
