I have an LG 220C how do I get the ringtones to work on the phone when I download them. It always say's file not supported.

when your ringtones starts to download windows will ask whether you want to run or save it a browse option should open you can select your LG 240 phone you should select the option save as or once its downloaded you could copy and paste the ringtones into the LG 240 drive or drag and drop it into the LG 240
click start all programs accessories open windows explorer navigate to your ringtone files right click on the movie right copy navigate back to the LG 240 drive right click select paste or hold the mouse cursor on the movie files drag them to folder
then drop them

Could not locate LG220c but see if the above link works for your model.

go to settings-security-enter the code(last 4 digits of number)- restrictions-data-unlock- and it should work.

Possibly Not - I had the same issue with a Motorockr and I contacted customer service but they told me some items may be copyrighted and those in particular would not be able to be used as ringtones but you could still listen to them as a mp3 or midi file. I know Motorola has a program called Motorola Phone Tools and that program is suppose to allow you to make your own ringtones but I am not sure if LG has a similiar program or not.

3g2 formatted files are not recognized on the LG Rumor2 because there is no camcorder.  Having no camcorder eliminates the necessity to support the aforementioned format.  It kinda sucks.... HARD... but its one of the things that LG, for whatever reason, decided to leave out.   

It is becos,,ur W510i phone supports only certain type of softwares,,,it wont support files lik wma and stuff,,,so next time when you download ringtones download it in these files ( mp3, mp4,midi) these are only file format which supports by your phone,,

GO TO MYXER.COM AND UPLOAD YOUR OWN. THIS PHONE WON'T LET YOU CONVERT IT TO RINGTONES AND THATS THE ONLY THING I HATE ABOUT THIS PHONE.

it could just be the file, you can send it to your e-mail in a pic msg to check it (just type your e-mail it under pic msg) it will not charge u if u have a txt plan
