Electrolux Ambassador stainless lower wand

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. A couple of thought came to mind that you can try. Look in the yellow pages for your local vacuum dealer to see if they carry it to contact your Electrolux factory @ the phone # listed below. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

I have a Electrolux Guardian Encore E and the power head quit working. It has suction power head off and all other attachments work.

Hi,
Try this. Remove the power nozzle from the lower wands. Remove the wands from the hose handle. Snap the power nozzle directly to the hose. Make sure all switches are turned on and try it. If the power nozzle now works, there's an issue with one or both of the wands. If the power head does NOT work, you've secluded the problem to the power head. With that being said and although it could be a power nozzle switch or a wire that disconnected inside, it's most likely the power nozzle Elbow assembly wiring that's worn out. This has been an issue with this model after so many years and you simply need to replace the Elbow assembly.
I hope this helps and let me know if I can be of any more help.

How do i get something unstuck from the suction tube on ambassador

I assume you're referring to the tube in the power nozzle. Unless you're acquainted with taking the pn apart and putting it back together properly, don't try.
Disconnect wand from pn, get a pair of needle-nose or long nose pliers, and try to reach the "something". Do so gently so as to not poke hole/s in tube.
You can also attach the hose to the exhaust port of the vacuum, attach the crevice tool, and attempt to blow out the clog.

Carpet rollers dont work

Hi There,

Yes, there is a reset switch on your Electrolux. This particular model also has some problems with the wands on the machine as well. Sometimes these wands will short out, preventing the power nozzle from working.

Try pushing the reset switch first to see if this fixes your problem. The reset switch is located on the power nozzle on the right hand side if you're looking down on it. It will be a little red pole, simply push this pole downwards, possible using a ball point pen is the easiest way.

If this didn't fix your problem, then it could be a few different things. The wands on your model are problematic, and should be the next thing that you test. Simply remove the wands from the power nozzle, and you can use a simply electrical tester purchased from Home Depot, and put the testers into the female receptacles on the end of each section of wand to ensure that power is getting down to the brush.

It may also be that your hose has gone bad. If you test both wand sections, and no power is getting through, remove both wand sections and test the female electrical connections on the end of the hose handle.

If you're not getting power here, this indicates that your hose has gone bad and needs to be replaced. We do carry all of the hoses for the Electrolux canisters, and most likely have the one for yours in stock. Please feel free to contact me if you need any further help.

Thank you,

Chris Jones

I need a price for a wand for my electrolux ambassador 2100 vacuum cleaner

This same wand is used on all older canister models since 1974 until about 1995.
Metal wand, about $24.
Upper wand assembly, about $34.

Parts should be available at any Aerus shop.
Of course, you can try to find used ones, often with complete vacuum, at second hand stores, pawn shops, yard sales, estate sales, etc.
