normaly its working automatily
but now no more, i think i have e defoult.
i dont now if a can fix it?

The following statement is a parameter for all dehumidifiers and some of the control issues may vary, but the theory is the same.
Most dehumidifiers have a "Frost Guard" mounted on the condensor coil. If frost accumulates on the condensor coil the frost guard turns the compressor off until the frost melts, then comes back on again. For the dehumidifier to work properly, the surrounding (ambient), temperature must be higher than 65 degress. This temperature allows the moisture in the air to condense on the coils and drip into the reservoir without freezing up on the condensor coil. Also, if the humidity is too low, (below 45%), the same condition will occur. So it will help to keep the parameters in mind when you have this issue. If your model does not employ a "Frost-Guard" the condition you describe will avail itself when the above parameters are not met.
Simply unplug, or turn off the unit, until the above parameters are met or exceeded.
Thank you for your allowing me to advise you on this issue.
Great hearing from you, my family comes from Belgium so I can understand well what you are saying.
Since your humidity is in the proper range, and I can assume that the temperature is also, then you may have a faulty frost guard or a pressure problem in the sealed system. Unusual, but not rare. If you have a warranty on the unit, I would exercise your right to get it fixed or replaced.
Good luck!

Just adding this as I found a basic design fault with my CD30... basically the defrost function runs after about 50 mins of operation, but what was happening was the unit was cutting off (because it had lowered the humidity to the set level) before the 50 mins had elapsed. The unit would then start again (with the coils still iced up) but never run for the 50 minutes needed to activate the defrost.. so a massive iceberg ended up building on the back of the unit!
I modified the wiring of the unit so that the timer board is always powered, and the humidistat switches the neutrals of the compressor, fan and solenoid. This has totally cured the problem. Any decent electrician would be able to do this mod in a few minutes.
I think the defrost circuit design has changed on newer models (probably because it was rubbish!!)
sounds like the fan - its worth taking apart and seeing which bit squeeks, if its the bearing try a small amount of WD40 first. try not to get any on the motor of electrics. You can by an electrolube spray if is is the Fan... Well worth taking apart, the latest EBAC models are of very poor quality.
I also had a Homedry for 15 years and the cabinets started to root first... I've had three 2560e's since all replaced under warranty - pcb failures...
Hi, If you are in new Zealand and your 880 model is the NZ 870 model, the fan motor can be got at Carrier Air Conditioning, part # SP-W3035766, for around $105.00.

If the room tempature is close to 60, the coils may be frozen (completely encased in ice). If this is the case, move it where the water can drain off - about 1 gallon which may NOT run into the drain bucket. I out mine over the floor drain. Turn off and it will defost over night. Only specially made dehumidifers work below a room temo of 60 degrees (the temp of a basement in winter). Does it need to be running? A digital humidity sensot from Radio Shack is cheap and may tell you the humidity is OK - only 50% or less.
Hi, There are many reasons for a dehumidifier to not work or collect water. Here is a tip that I wrote to help people to figure out what is going wrong with their dehumidifier.
only two
fan speed - fast or slows. use fast
humidity - cuts out appliance when required humidity is reached. set it about half way
note that is f bucket if full, then a float switch will cut out the appliance
