SOURCE: Focus on a subject
Question 1 - This should not happen as you describe. f 2.8 at 1/100th should give you about f 5.6 at 1/25th. Try this again and check to make sure the light level and your subject doesn't change

I've had similar problems with my Pentax Super-A on an intermittent basis. If you haven't replaced the batteries I suggest you try that first. Not sure why, but that has sorted my problem out quite a few times (even when the existing batteries still have a fair amount of juice left in them).

It seems to be a connection issue between the Lens and the Camera body. Perhaps the mount is not true to the body Ask Pentax about this their Technical Support Team

Did you put a memory card in the camera?
My camera did this today, and I resolved it by putting a memory card in, but even when one has been out before it still turned on, so I'm not sure that is the resolution. Did you ever find out what was causing it?

No.. someone sent me copies of photos of the mechanism. In my case, the little level that controls the aperature is not going back into place but no one seems to know how to take it apart and reset it. I will eventually take it apart very carefully (you know how springs just jump out at ya). When I do I will post it. Don't hold your breath right now as I'm recovering from surgery but I expect sometime towards the end of the month.
