For the past couple of weeks my 2001 Honda Odyssey has been turning on the TCS and ABS lights while driving. Usually, restarting the engine turns them off. However, today, while driving the lights were off, but I could feel the TCS kick in on the driver's front wheel for no apparent reason. I also could feel the ABS kick in when slowing down, again for no apparent reason. Any ideas?

I have a 1999 Honda Odessey. We just changed out the CV joints. Now the TCS and ABS lights on on. The brakes are acting weird and act like they are on ice.

2000 Honda Odyssey Engine Light and TCS lights come on at engine start up when its cold out.

TCS is a separate issue from PCM code. I would disconnect the plug from PCM and clean with contact cleaner. Most of the times humidity creates corrosion on the pins.

2001 honda odyssey abs and tcs light is on after changing front brakes

You must have damaged a wheel speed sensor. You now need to have the dealer scan the system and verify that I am correct. Don't throw parts at it, get it diagnosed.

Tcs light came on with my 2000 honda odyssey, what does that mean?

TCS = Traction Control System

The TCS light is on because the check engine light is on this is common repair the check engine light failure abd the tcs will go back to normal.

You need to check the code to see if it is a trans code and then if it falls under the bulletin limits Honda will replace the trans under warranty. Even if you are out of warranty Honda will sometimes do a partial warranty. Here's a copy of the Bulletin.

There are several things that will turn the check engine light and tcs light on .if you get the code I can tell you exactly what the problem is . on your year i see transmission problems as well as egr problems. if you go to any large auto parts store they will check the code for free or a very small fee.

Hope helps (remember to rate this answer).

My TCS indicator light comes on and stays on

some markets have a button on the dash with tcs/abs and a dash light saying "tcs off".if your car has not got the button then you cant turn it off(germany yes.uk no)abs/tcs should only be turned off in deep snow, otherwise best left alone, unless you have been taught how to drive with/without.....(on ice you wants the wheels to turn,on snow you want the snow to wedge to slow you down......)see what i mean???

2001 Honda Odyssey with a TCS and check Engin light on

you should have the codes pulled but its prob gonna be an EGR code. when the vehicle has an egr problem it will have decreased power that will cause the tcs light to come on due to the system being shut off by the check engine light code. prob just needs a new egr valve and the light cleared.

TCS light comes on

the tcs is ur traction control system this reads the wheels and if one slips cuts down power to engine so as not to damage engine or trans also if awd will activate the other wheels for traction the sensors are usually part of the abs[anti-lock brakes] check connections and wires as well as the sensors at the wheels and transmission -since the light is intermittent which would indicate a short or a sensor is about to fail the vehicle will store the code as pending -have vehicle scanned some auto stores do this for free such as auto zone/ advanced auto check ur local area the code will tell u where the problem is coming from

TCS light on

The TCS (Traction Control System) indicator comes on or flashes under the following conditions:

When you turn the ignition switch
to ON (II).

When you manually turn off the
TCS.

It flashes when the TCS is
regulating wheelspin.

If the system's diagnostics senses
a problem in the TCS, the indicator
will come on and stay on.

If the brakes overheat, the
indicator will come on.

If the TCS indicator comes on and stays on for more than 10 minutes while driving, pull to the side of the road when it is safe and turn off the engine. Reset the system by restarting the engine, and watch the TCS indicator. If the indicator remains on, or comes back on while driving, have the system inspected by your Honda dealer. You can still drive the vehicle without TCS.

This indicator will come on along with the ABS indicator if there is a problem in the anti-lock brake system.
The TCS indicator may occasionally come on for one or two seconds and then go out. This is normal.

Hope this helps you figure it out.
