Battery Replacement My Casio DBC1501 watch keeps flashing Bat! (replace battery) after I replace the battery with a new one???? Yes I touch the AC contact with the pos. side of the battery when I replace it. I've replaced batteries many times before in my databanks and never had a problem. I thought it was a defective watch, so I replaced the watch which shortly thereafter needed a new battery, so I replaced the battery only for it to do the exact same thing that the prior watch did. After a couple of days with the new battery it starts flashing BAT! again. What gives????

Casio Telememo 30 I need to change my battery again. I did this once before and seem to remember having to short the watch using a hole in the movement inside the casing. I can't find a source for that...

There are plenty of watches around where you can find writing Shortcut battery and AC. Some writings explain how many times you have to shortcut and for how long as well. Make sure you read exactly what it says and do exactly what it says. Shortcut is needed to restore all watch settings and to make all functions work properly. Shortcut must be done right after replacing watch battery, before any settings. Please note - if you are not quick enough with battery replacement, all previous data from watch memory will be lost. Usual max time for battery replacement is 3 minutes. So, when you decide to replace battery, do it as fast as you can, just make sure do not damage the watch in a rush. When the new battery is in place and in right position, get an eyeglass or magnifying glass and carefully examine watch movement all way around. You should find brass/silver coloured contact with letters AC next to it or even on it. This is exact point for shortcut. Take fine pointed tweezers and touch with one pointed end battery's + and with another end AC contact and hold for 3 seconds. If writing in the watch says Shortcut twice, then do it twice for 3 seconds. When shortcut is done, your watch is ready for use and you can set the desired time, date, month and so on.Hope this will help for everyone who want's to save few quid on watch repairer charges. There are plenty of watches around where you can find writing Shortcut battery and AC. Restarting a Casio 4735 after battery change

Shortcut battery with AC contact. AC can be found on the sides of watch movement(very tiny). You have to use pointed tweezers: one end on battery+, another on AC contact for three secs.
this video is only an example as to what to do hope this helps you..

I have a gw-500a and the battery got replaced with a brand new one, but my watch still says charge and it won't let me change the mode or anything. The time is on the screen though. Please help

You have to reset this watch after battery replacement. Using tweezers or something similar you have to touch the AC & - contact on back of watch, for 2 seconds. Hope this helps.

Change battery on Casio abx-23

Take your watch to your nearest watch shop and ask them to do it for you.

You can get into difficulty replacing batteries and it is not worth the risk for the small cost saving.

If you need to send it to Casio, then go to their web site (casio.com) and click on "support" to find your nearest service location.

After battery replacement of casio sea-pathfinder

If it has "AC" written on the module you may need to short between the AC point and + battery. Also check voltage of battery. It may just be too flat.

I put in new battery using Casio instructions but still does not work. Touched battery and ac with tweezers for a few seconds, nothing happened?

Make sure your new battery is not flat and on full power. Sometimes batteries are not fully charged as they discharge over the time and as they are stocked in large quantities, some of them get discharged even they are sold as brand new.
When replacing battery in your watch, make sure you keep the right polarity. Plus and minus must match appropriate contacts. After replacement connect AC and plus side of the battery at once for 2-3 seconds - this will reactivate watch and you will need to set the watch manually.
If you did all this and your watch don't work at all, there is some fault in watch mechanics and you have to look for watchmakers help.

How do I rest my Casio PAG-40 after I replaced the batteries?

You need to shortcut AC point and battery. Take tweezers and touch AC and battery (+) simultaneously. Use an eyeglass to find AC point. It is marked on the movement with letters AC.

Battery Replacement

Do not lay the tweezers across any contacts as you may damage the watch.
First you need to examine your watch movement and find an AC point (contact). Use an eyeglass, as the writings can be very tiny.
When found, touch an AC point with one arm of tweezers and battery+ with another arm simultaneously.
Some watches needs to do that twice, so, to be sure, do that twice.
If you are not comfortable with tweezers, you can use a thin wire, connecting one end of the wire to AC point and another to battery+.
Each shortcut should last for 3 seconds.
