My Frigidaire 4000 Dishwasher panel board is lighting up with almost all lights on/flashing. When the door is closed the pump engages and ther is no water in the machine. If we put water in it drains successfully. The following is flashing on the control panel: washing, drying ER, clean and s. Up top lighted up is china crystal and rinse only. What is going on?

SOURCE: Error flashing and won't reset.

hi there,

PF stands for power failure. the first you should do is check your house breaker and make sure that you did not trip the fuse.

Does anything run? Can you hear the motor running? If not, you have no power coming into the machine. In this case it's the main control board that needs to be replaced.

If the motor hums, it means you have power to the d/w, in that case you need to replace the touchpad.

thanks

SOURCE: Washing light flashes on Frigidaire FDB1050REM dishwasher

1) Turn off the breaker to the machine.

2) Wait 30 seconds and then turn it back on.

3) All the lights will be flashing. At this point turn the dial to "rinse only" and then press "Heat dry" and "Start/Cancel" at the same time.

4) The Machine will go into maintenance mode going through all the cycles quickly.

5) After this is finished the problem should be solved.

The steam has gotten into the keypad display and fried it. Call Fridgidaire and let them know you've seen numerous people on the internet with the same problem and that you need part# 154554401 It worked for me.

No solution, just a big thanks about that tip on holding down that 'Heat-Dry' button. Worked like a charm.

FIRGIDAIRE DISHWASHER FDB1050RES0 WASHING LIGHT BLINKING CONSTANTLY BUT MACHINE WON'T RUN

Thank you for your inquiry, William Garrett!

I understand that the washing light on your Frigidaire dishwasher, FDB1050RES0, continues to blink and will not run. You may need to perform a reset on your dishwasher. In order to do so you would need to disconnect power from your dishwasher for roughly ten minutes. This will help clear out any false error codes or miscommunications within your dishwasher. If resetting your dishwasher does not resolve the issue you may need to have an electrical component replaced and I would recommend seeking professional assistance for that. Hope this is helpful. -Matt

My clean light is flashing and the lock light is on, on my whirlpool dishwasher. I've tried the reset code of HD/N/HD/N and it didn't work! What can I do?

What is the model? If you take the panel off you can test the control board and controller by unhooking the ribbon cable from the controller to the keyboard. Then close the door. If the pump comes on, it is the control panel, if the pump does not come on it is the control board.

Blinking lights on frigidaire dishwasher

Hello - Try resetting the dishwasher by disconnecting the power to the unit. This will clear most flashing lights. You can disconnect power by flipping the circuit house breaker off and back on for approximately two minutes. If this does not prove to be successful, contact a professional to move forward accurately. Dishwasher could possibly have a faulty control board or wiring failure.

Clean light flashes cant get to start a wash cycle

If the clean light flashes 7 times, pauses, then repeats...

When the dishwasher doesn't sense a water temperature increase, it will stop working and lock the functions (clean light flashes 7 times, all buttons are non responsive). It does this as a safety in case the element is broken and feeding electrical current into the water.

To resolve this you will have to reset the console. Do this by closing the door and press these buttons in sequence...

-high temp wash
-heated dry
-high temp wash
-heated dry

...all the lights will turn on briefly and the machine will start a diagnostic cycle. You can press cancel or let the diagnostic cycle finish (1-2 minutes).
You should now be able to run the dishwasher as normal.

If the issue returns, you could have a problem with the heating circuit (ie. element, thermostat or wiring). It's not as common but it could also be the door switch not engaging properly when the door is closed (slightly bend the door latch down making sure it doesn't hit the door when you close it).

Frigidaire Dishwasher (model FDB1050REB0) Wash Light Flashing

Well, I've got a different problem. I need a control module!!!

BUT!

The flashing WASH light appears to indicate the door latch (switch) is not fully engaged. I proved that I mine which works, just doesn't pump out/drain water. If I unlatch the door and then press START, the WASH light blinks.

*WARNING* 120V ELECTRICAL CURRENT! ONLY ATTEMPT THIS IS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING!

The switch is located behind the control panel (5 screws from the inside.) The Hot (Black) AND Neutral (White) wires comes from the electrical input and pass through the switch. You can do a simple continuity check with the power disengaged to test the path through the switch and into the control module (pins 3 & 9m black and white).

Now... anyone have a Control Module (working) they want to give/sell to me so I don't have to go buy a new dishwasher? I just replaced the drain valve on mine :( If you do, you can send me a note vidioteic (at) gmail (dot) com

Happy Washing!

FDB1050REC2

Follow up to my Jun 02, 2008 post. We had a service tech come out today, and it turned out that the door switch was bad. The neutral side had continuity with the door shut, but the hot side was sporadic. A new switch has been ordered.

According to the Frigidaire tech sheet attached to the door, which is located beneath the control panel and behind the door skin, the problem could potentially be a bad control panel also.

Hope this helps someone in the future!

Asko 1585 Dishwasher

do they flash lik all on one side then the other? Start a cycle, then open the door. Do the lights flash the same way when you open the door as when it stops? if soyou may have a door that needs to be adjusted so it closes better. when the cycle ends, is there any standing water in the bottom? if so you may have a poorly routed drain hose or a partial clog in it. Last, pull the bottom panels off and look inside the bottom of the dishwasher and see if there is standing water down there . If ther is you have aleak somewhere or a bad drain pump. You r only other choice is a bad pressure switch. If youve already adjusted the water fil to the proper level ( just up to the grey plastic housing that the lower wash arm sits on) tehre really aernt any more options. Hope this helps!
