Onkyo TX SR 702 AV Receiver

Recently I connected a projector, HD set top box and dvd player, all connected via component leads to my Onkyo Av Receiver, the picture is good but have no blue in the picture, which makes the picture more green, when I connect direct from the projector to the HD set top box the picture is perfect.

I connected my new sony HDMI projector to my HD box using my ONKYO TX-SR702 the picture/sound works great. But when I try to play a DVD I only get sound no picture. I don't think that I connections are correct on my 702. I am using HDMI for HD and I am using component cables for DVD. I am doing something wrong

I am trying to hook up a Sony Blu-ray disc player (BDP-S1700) to my Onkyo TX-NR801 AV receiver using a coaxial digital cable but cannot get sound from the AV receiver.

"Onkyo TX-NR801 AV receiver using a coaxial digital cable but cannot get sound from the AV receiver." In onkyo amp, choose DVD, then in digital audio settings choose coax1. Then enter. In blu ray player, digital output selection choose auto or bitstream .

How to fix Onkyo TX SR 303 when it says phones engaged but no phones are not plugged in

Hello, I suggest a reset of the receiver. Please see the procedure below. Thank you, Onkyo USA.

To reset the AV receiver to its factory defaults, turn it on and, while holding down the [VIDEO 1/VCR] button, press the [STANDBY/ON] button. "Clear" will appear on the display and the AV receiver will enter Standby mode.

How to connect Sony dvd player to onkyo TX-8511 receiver

The TX-8511 is an older AV receiver with only composite video inputs. Your DVD player may not provide this type of output as it's not capable of HD video. If your dvd player has a composite output with a Red, White & Yellow set of outputs, that will connect into the Video 2 inputs on the receiver. Your TV will need to connect up to the Video2 or Monitor output. You'll need a set of composite video cables with the red-white & yellow RCA type plugs.

Here is a link to the manual for this receiver:

Just purchased a Panasonic DMT-350 with analog 7.1 out and hooked up to my Onkyo 989 but tried everything and i mean everything to get my rear surround to play but no luck....pleeeeeease help me.

Hi.

Connect the Panasonic to one of the AV inputs on the Onkyo. Use red white and yellow AV cables. Connect the output from the Panasonic to one of the five AV video inputs on the Onkyo (or use the DVD dedicated input in the Onkyo backpanel). I indicated this option using red arrows. You can use any of the AV inputs or the DVD input at the bottom. Just ensure you do not connect to an output at the back of the Onkyo.

Alternatively use component cables and optical audio input, as indicated using the blue arrows in picture below. Select source and listen surround from the Onkyo.

There are more options. In some case you may decide to connect the DVD video output to TV and the audio to the Onkyo.

Here a manual for the TX DS989.

I have an Onkyo TX-SR605 AV receiver that just stopped outputing video to my Panasonic projector. I have connected other devices directly to the projector and video is fine, so the problem is not the...

Goof information. Have you eliminated or proven the Onkyo as a cause by going direct to the projector? Try another Input and/or Output. It's best to know which component is broken and if it's limited to a specific subset of its function.

Settings are also indicated. Run through the video setup again. If it just stopped, what preceded it?

1080P video via HDMI generates awful interference

Your Plasma's native resolution is 720P. Go into the Blu Ray's output setup. you can choose 480p 480i 720p 1080i and 1080p. Set it for 720p that should clear up the issue. You may have to run Component directly to the TV since you only have 1 HDMI input and you can run Digital coax or optical to your AV receiver for audio. On a 50" TV the difference between 720p and 1080p using "GOOD" cables cannot be seen by the human eye. Above 50, yes it is noticeable.
Hope this helps.

Hook up patio speakers and use my cd/dvd/cable/ipod outside only

i'm not sure if this will work, but you could try connecting the rca stereo cables from you cable box to the cd input on the receiver those would be analog. then you could use the music channels at least. as for an ipod maybe sort of the same thing using an av cable instead of the dock;like i said i don't know if it will work but just a thought.
