The cone is busted15"

It might be cheaper and easier to snag a whole speaker or even a pair on eBay or craigslist than to locate and obtain the exact driver.

Hi my name is Doug , I have a question for you and hope you have an answer for me. I have an old Vintage pair of Tannoy Silver 15 inch Drivers from the early 1950`s. They both sound great and perform...

The cone keeps the dust out of the voice coil, I do not see a problem with you going ahead and replacing with the newer version, the sound will keep it's original composition that you can expect from Tannoy.

Hi, I am looking for a replacement bass cone for a pair of Tannoy 611's mk1's. I had them from new in the early 90's but a few years back, my son picked out all of the foam that joins the plastic cone to...

If you found second hand 605s you can swap entire sub speaker. Your other option is check your local yellow pages for a pro audio repair shop that does re-coning. Re-coning is a specialty operation and it's not a procedure for the novice. You can also check online for re-coning services.

It is rip in to little piecies

It may not be worth the expense, but if the cone or surround are torn, they can be replaced by a speaker repair shop. I just had a pair of JL 10W6's re-edged (the foam surround around the cone deteriorated after 11 years), and the repair cost $100 for the pair, including parts.

2001 ford explorer packing front bearings

This is going to sound silly. Buy a bearing packer. This device is not expensive and should be available at just about any auto parts store.

It is a fairly simple device. It looks like two shallow cones mounted on a shaft. The bottom cone is fixed and the top cone unscrews from off the shaft. The shaft itself is hollow with a grease fitting on top. Just remove the top cone, place the bearing on the bottom cone and screw on the top cone firmly, but not over-tight. Attach a grease gun loaded with the desired grease and pump the handle until you see grease come out the sides. At that point, the bearing should be fully packed.

I Have a buzzing mordaunt short avant 916i cone

Hiya, its the cone. The former is touching the magnet inside. Realignment is really tricky and dont know many people who can do that so you may either have to live with it or see if someone can recone it in your area.

Best of luck
