I have a whirlpool built in oven. Model RBD275PDQ8. The display (control panel) went blank 2 months ago. I reset the breaker, nothing. Pushed buttons, it just beeps. 3 days later I pushed the upper oven button and the display came on showing 350 degrees. I pushed the start /enter button and the oven turned on. All was working. I did have to start the clock. A month later, the display went blank again. 4 days later it came back on and the clock time was correct. Then 2 days later it went blank again. This morning for a few minutes it showed the following code: E6 F2. Then it beeped and went blank. I’d like to know what part(s) need to be replaced and the level of difficulty in doing so. I’m pretty handy. Thanks

It's the control panel behind that touchpad item. and it's not too difficult, just time consuming. My recommend is to grab a service manual online(usually around 20.00) which will provide good step by step, and also parts list.

spares? well, that's a good question. Until you have that part number, and the best way is to eyeball the one that's in side your unit(no offense to the printers, but mistakes can happen with manuals).

then you'll find out what it's like to be truly handy, eh?

Hello Diana,
Their are a few things that should be checked. I know its going to be tough to check on a built in double wall oven but one thing that needs to be checked is if their is 240 volts ac entering the oven(i know the breaker is ok) but the connection at the back of the oven can burn, then the proper voltage wont enter the oven.
Another thing is a high limit thermostat thats inside of the control panel, need to checkif it has blown.
Last thing i can think to check is if 120 volts is at the clock, if not 120vac that explains the blank display

Replaced control panel and keypad 1 1/2 years ago seen the error codes now I was self cleaning oven everything went off no error codes or anything house breaker ok PLEASE help.

Self clean is hard on controls. I do not recommend self clean. Kills expensive parts. If the temp goes above 300 in the control panel, a control panel fuse will melt, killing the power to the control.

I just encountered the same problem. Power surge during storm caused the control panel to go blank. I removed the panel to get the part number. Reinstalled control panel and it started working. Below are the steps 1) Turn off breaker 2) Unplug unit 3) Remove rear panel 4) Unplug all connections to control panel 5) Wait 5-minutes 6) Reconnect all wires in reverse order 7) Install rear panel 8) Plug in unit 9) Switch breaker to on position Control panel came on, set clock and all oven functions worked.

Whirlpool Gold double oven - started beeping then all lights on the control panel went out. Reset the circuit breaker which makes the oven beep but still have no lights. Oven will not operate.

I was just looking over a manual for a late model double oven. Their is a thermal limit going into the controls that will open if the temp rises enough to harm the controls. They look like this one.2605a73.jpg That kills all power to the control and you will see nothing on the display.

This manual will give an idea where to look:

"loc" display

This just happened to me. I have whirlpool double oven accubake. The display went blank and i had to turn the breaker off. I left it off for several hours. When I turned the breaker back on my oven display read "Loc" in big letters to the right of the time. I held the start button down for 5 secs. The display went away and the oven started to work as if nothing had happened. I hope that is stays that way.

Whirlpool Double oven - control panel stopped working

Atlanta...sounds like you may have a power supply problem or the panel is bad. Cut the power, open the unit up and see if there is a fuse in there or a reset. No good? Then replace the circuit board. They just, well, die sometime. Happened to my microwave. Some units may be available remanufactured. Look around on the web.
