Take a look at the picture. The arrows are drawn to 2 small locks. Take a small screwdriver and press up in the hole then lightly pull that corner. Once you get that off you will be able to see the rest of it.

Thanks,
Barry

Icemaker dispenses crushed ice when you select cubed ice

GE has a problem with the flap on the door which lets the ice out , not closing due to a rusted solenoid behind the panel . If this flap does not close , frost will get inside the ice bin , not letting the bin flap open to let cubed use come thru, only crushed . You can defrost the ice bin front and replace the door flap solenoid easily . If this is the problem , repost about replaceing the flap solenoid for further instructions if needed .

Flap does not close by itself, ice builds up on chute; when you put glass to fill, nothing comes out or an avalanche. Ice builds up in chute, flap won't close even manually. Ice maker stops producing.

I have had the same problem. The issue is with the solenoid that opens the flap. For a temporary fix you can just squirt some oil on it. Remove the control panel (pull it towards you from the bottom). Disconnect the three connectors. Then unscrew the four screws in the panel behind the cover. You will see the solenoid on the top right. Just squirt some oil on it and it should get it working again for a while. For a long term fix order a new solenoid, they are about $25.

GE side by side by side, water drips from bottom freezer door

I have the same problem. Just talked to a friend that's a great appliance repairman. he said I have to remove the panel in the back inside of freezer and there is a drain that gets clogged up, a little hole or tube.
clean that and should work fine and stop leaking. I haven't had time yet, but this weekend I'll do the deed. Hopes this helps ya!
