See if your wireless lan is recognized in Device Manager under Network adapters. Cick on it. See if the driver is OK. Try updating.
Click on the icon in notification area of the task bar (it will look like something that emenates the signal) and see if your wireless is connected.
More details would help. Assuming that no wireless card is detected then is it turned on by a switch or a keystroke combination (eg <Fn>+<F2>?

Well I have the same problem, in my case it's a Satellite s205 S5800 PSAF3-U and it doen's detect the wireless card either, the light is on and i checked in Device Manager and Nothing, according to device manager every single driver is working (wich isn't true). I also tried to fix it by installing the chipset drivers (chipset for s205 S5800 = GL960 or GML960) and nothing happens. I already have the driver for it but since my laptop can't detect I'm not able to use it. IDK but I think i'm pretty much screwed.
If anybody needs help getting the drivers for this such "special" Laptop (satellite S205) i'll be glad to Help.

I have a satellite 2415-s205 and I can not find the driver for the wireless at all, every timei do the search it keeps sending me to driver detective I don't have the money to get that. Any ideas..
