I was using my projector and it was working fine and powered down fine. the next time i went to turn it on the on light turns green and so does the lamp light but after 10 seconds the lamp light starts flashing green and i get no picture or even any light coming through. none of the lights turn red.
I had the same problem with the projector at my church. We had just changed the bulb and it worked fine for the morning service, but when we got there for the evening service it would not come on and the green lamp light would flash but the bulb never would come on. I would see faint light coming through the lens as the led's were flashing. The faint light would come on and off as it went through this cycle but the main bulb never illuminated. We switched back to the old bulb, same thing. We put the new bulb back in, I unplugged it and brought it home to troubleshoot. Today, when I plugged it in and turned it on at home it worked perfectly. The only thing I can figure is that maybe when it was unplugged and allow to sit something reset and fixed the problem.I had the same problem with the projector at my church. Is the projector receiving a source signal? if not it will power itself down after whatever time you have it set to do so when no signal is present. Just an idea?
if the led flashes once in 2-second intervals and you don't hear a high-pitched whir, the colorwheel needs replacing. if you do, the ballast is bad. if it flashes 2 times, the lamp is past 3000 hours. 4 times, fan error. 5 times, temp too high and it needs to cool.
Just a thought...you *might* have a bad ballast in addition to that defective power supply. That flashing could be the ballast trying to ignite the lamp. A lamp is just like an enclosed welder's arc. The ballast generates a high-voltage spark to initially start the lamp, then low voltage with high current keeps it burning. If you look into the lens and see "lightning" flashes but no lamp ignition, that's what's happening. The ballast could've been damaged by the defective supply. Also, try a known-good lamp...just to rule out a defective new one--in the shop, we kept all old working lamps as testers.
IF THE GREEN LIGHT IS FLASHING, THE LAMP COVER HAS NOT BEEN REPLACED PROPERLY. AFTER PUSHING IN THE LAMP SCREW IT DOWN THEN YOU ALSO HAVE TO REPLACE THE BLACK COVER AND SCREW IT IN AS WELL, I ASSUME IT IS BLACK ON ALL MODELS, THEN I REPLACED THE PANEL IN FRONT OF THE LAMP COVER. I DID THIS AND THE GREEN FLASHING LGTS WENT AWAY AND TV CAME BACK.
Reseat the lamp. I had a similar problem. Replaced the lamp and everything worked for about 3 hours. Then, turned the projector off. Next morning, when I turned it on, nothing. Stanby/On light flashed green for a minute then the lamp light came on and the projector went into standby.
Probably the filter is blocked. Unplug the power lead at the back and leave for about 30 seconds. Plug back in and it should work. The first opportunity you get, buy some compressed air and give it a good clean.
