I changed my windows from windows vista to windows 7 professional and my capture button on my Sony vaio VGN-CS215J is not working. I have downloaded all the utilities for my model but some do not download because of the wndows. I was wondering if I could some how find a utility for my problem, so when I press the capture button on my laptop it would work. Thank you, Sheila.

these two options are not working in windows 8.1 and windows 10 should I have to install windows 7 but windows 7 is not installing .so do you have another option to do it is two important in am not able to take my online class without capture or camera so please please help me right now i am using windows 8.1 pro please reply me faster

Change your system of windows to Windows 7 32bit. Inyou Pc 64bit and problem with driver.

You need the Win7 camera driver, check sony support at:

just enter your Win7 operating system (there are 9 versions of Win7), and select the downloads (2)
for your computer camera driver.

Versions of microsoft Win7 - determine which yours is by (these instructions are for WinXP);

START > Control Panel > System > General (tab)

Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit

Perform a Windows update first to see if there are updates to correct the drivers. Then if any drivers are still missing, go to the Sony website and locate the Windows 7 drivers for your computer model.

Re-installing the Touchpad Driver in the Computer will fix the issue with the AV Mode and the Capture Touch Sensor Buttons above the Keyboard. You can download and install the Touchpad Driver from the below link.

Please open the above link in a new Internet Explorer window. Then, save the file on the Desktop and double click on it to begin the installation. After installing the Driver, please restart the Computer for the settings to take the effect.

This should fix the issue.
