If you are having problems with your video card

the drivers might not be installed correctly you might have to uninstall the graphics card restart your computer then reinstall the graphics card and its drivers

If your computer came with a motherboard disc the drivers could be on it

Click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to display adapters + to expand you might see a yellow question mark ? or exclamation mark ! or a red x right click select reinstall drivers or

Do your PC support the above hardware requirements?
The most common input no support would be your graphic card is not up to the mark to play the PC games.

Is your graphics card drivers up to date to the latest?
Have you updated your DirectX to the latest version?

Hope it helps.

Site for free download for ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 Fujitsu N310?

Some DVD protection routines do interfere with graphics cards. It may be that. I reinstalled Windows etc. and by a process of elimination found the guilty DVD. It sounds like the same problem. Note that just reinstalling the graphics drivers doesn't cure it. But a fresh install of Windows does - at least until you play the same DVD. One small difference was that my ATI used to 'recover' itself rather than Windows shutting down.

Hp pavilion zd8000 ati mobility radeon x600 128 mb

A bit late over a year has passed.........

I have a smilar problem, with the ATI enabled the laptop black screens on startup.
If you disable the ATI x600 in Device Manager (using safe mode) the laptop works fine as the ATI is not being used.

Solution is to replace the ATI x600, which unfortunately is a specialist job as this is soldered directly onto the motherboard. Or replace the motherboard.

I have located a company in Manchester (called CRM) that repairs HP computers, and they can repair/replace the ATI for around £175, or replace the motherboard for about £250. Replacing the board gives you a 12months warranty. add VAT to those figures. There phone number is 01618881232, I have found them to be very helpful.
