My watch keeps changing the date at 12:00 noon to the next day. How to I get it to go back to changing the date at midnight? Thanks.

I haven't been able to find your watch on their web site but it sounds as though your watch is a mechanical (automatic?), if this is the case.....

The watch thinks it is midnight at midday, so wind the watch forward 12 hours.

Why does the date on my seiko sne881 change at 12 noon?

probably because you have it set to 12 pm midnight and not 12 noon so at 12 noon it is actually midnight when the date will change
reset the time of the day to am or pm and any pm settings will change the date at 12 midnight.

Hi, My watch is changing date at 12 noon instead

Your watch is 12 hours out of step. (The date changes every second revolution of the hour hand.)

Wind your watch forward 12 hours, (you may have to reset the date) and it will then change around midnight.

My analog Guess watch has a date display only (no day). I have re-set the date over and over, but it changes the date at noon instead of at midnight.

Your problem is caused by the fact that the watch is 12 hours out of step.

Wind your watch forward 12 hours, reset the date if you need to and you watch will then change around midnight.

(if you need to change the date more than one day, when it has past the change time, wind it back and then forward to step the date forward. You may have to experiment to see how far past the change point (in both directions).

Where do I find a user manual for a Timex Expedition (H2Y518)? I had Timex install a new battery and although the date 3-17 is correct, the day of the week is SUN. I have tried changing the date for over...

You are very observant! Timex watches don't have a way to adjust the day.
However, if you turn the hands clockwise you will see the day advance.
So, heres the secret, follow exactly:
1. Turn the hands until the day of the week shows the day before. If today is Wednesday then turn the hands until the watch shows Tuesday
2 Adjust the date to the day before. If today is the 17th then adjust it to the 16th
3. Now pull the crown all the out and and advance the hands until the date changes to the correct date, 17 in this example. This happens at midnight. Continue the movement in a clockwise direction for a few more hours and you should see the day change to the correct day.
4. Now continue to move in a clockwise direction until you have the current time. Remember that your date/day changed at midnight so if the current time is after lunch(noon) you must continue past noon to get to the correct time. If you don't do this correctly your date will change every day at noon instead of midnight.
If you don't succeed the first time, try, try again! Good luck, Michael, Watchmaker to the Stars!

My timex watch changes the date at noon instead of midnight. How do I fix this?

Hello,
This is because you have reversed am with pm.
Set your watch 12 hours back and the problem should be solved.
You might want to wait till midnight or noon to check it's fine.

Note: if you see the day shows the previous day rather than the present day, you have to set the clock 24h ahead.
Problem solved!

I can't get the date on my F1 right. I set it, but it wants to change at noon or something. I can only make it right half the day. what do I do?

The date change occcurs at 12 O'clock but your watch is set so that it changes at 12 noon rather than 12 midnight. This is easy to correct, simply wind your watch on 12 hours and it will change at midnight.

Day date changes midday 12:00 PM, not midnight 12:00 AM. How to change this?

Your watch thinks your noon is midnight.

Wind the hands forward 12 hours and the date change will be at midnight. You will have to re-set the date if it gains a day when doing this.

My rolex submariner keeps having the wrong date on it. when it turns midnight it stays on the old date and i switch it to the correct one. but when noon rolls around it switches to the day ahead and i once...

There isn;t any downloadable manuals for Rolex watches, but operation of Rolex is very simple:
1) when you unscrew the crown, it is in winding position,
2) when you pull out the crown to the first click, it is in day and date setting position (depending wich way you turn the crown).
NOTE: to adjust the day or date, previously you have to advance hands forward, passing 12 o'clock (midnight) mark and stop advancing at 4.00 a.m. using the crown in position as described in chapter 3. When done - push the crown fully in, then pull out to the first click and only then adjust the day or date.
3) when you pull the crown further out to the second click, it is in time setting position.
To find the daytime or night time on the watch: pull out crown to the second click and advance watch hands forward till you pass the 12 mark on dial. If the date changes as you pass it - it is the night time (midnight). If the date do not change as you pass it - it is the daytime (noon).
After all settings being done, allways screw the crown back down as it protects the watch from water and moisture.
Never use watch in sauna- it's not designed for that.
Do not forget to rate, please.

HOW TO CHANGE DATE

The Skagen watches have  two-step stem; fully pulled out will change the time and partially pulled out will change the date (only goes one way so try turning it counter-clockwise or clockwise - I forget which is correct).  It's easier to find the date length by extending it all the way and then go back toward the case.  It won't change the date if you run it through a 24-hour cycle - you have to do the half-way thing.  Hope this helps.

Set the date

If you dial in the date before noon make sure you stop winding the crown right after the date flips. That will give the internal mechanism the most room to cycle and not flip at noon. If you are setting it after noon wind the crown just until the date you want starts to move to the following date, but stop immediately after so as to not flip over. That way the mechanism will be close to changing the date and should flip it at midnight. Make sense? Hopefully, good luck.
