My 8350i shows app error 523 reset Then it just keeps resetting

The error is caused by an installed application failing and damaging the BlackBerry Operating system in the process. The fix is to simply erase and reinstall the operating system to your phone. This sounds difficult but isn't too hard in practice. It's something you can do yourself on your home PC using BlackBerry Desktop Manager. If you don't feel confident in doing this yourself then you can take it to a BlackBerry repair centre and they'll carry the repair out for you, but you might have to wait a couple of weeks for them to do it and if you're out of warranty you'll probably have to pay for it.

do a google search for reinstalling the o/s if you feel you can do it

This happened with my phone but it was Error 102 i couldn't solve it my self so if i was you, go to a phone shop :)

This error can be caused by a few different things, including faulty third party software. Have you downloaded any apps lately?

Make sure you have BlackBerry Desktop Manager installed on your computer, then unplug the battery from your BB and make sure that it is not connected to the computer. Start App Loader, then plug the USB cable into your phone. Once the phone lights up, wait to see if it starts up and if the PIN appears on your computer (in App Loader). At that point, plug in your battery. The software should load, and you can remove the third party app. If you don't think it's an app causing the problem, you can try using the repair option in the Desktop Manager. Let me know how it goes.

i security wiped my user installed apps and it keeps bringing me to the screen that says app error 523 and wont let me do anything but keep rebooting the phone. i need to get into my phone to get all my contacts and i cant get past the screen

I had this same problem it was from a third party application that I had downloaded. Go to blackberry.com, and select support and search your APP error it will walk you through a guide on getting it fixed--although your phone will reset back to default.
