Kenmore model 119 24622300 Heavy duty 2 speed washing machine....The machine was in mid wash cycle and completely stopped. Although we have emptied the clothes and water out manually (it would not drain), the machine will not restart. It will fill with water but the agitator motor does not run anymore. It had a blanket in at the time it stopped running, so I dont know if there may be some kind of fuse that blew if the machine was overheating. I do know that the power cord and electric are still working properly. Is there a "reset" button anywhere on/in the machine that may have to be pressed? Thanks!!!!

The first three is 110 on your model number, not 119.lift the lid up around two inches and close it down,do this a few times,if you don't hear a clicking sound the lid switch is broken, part number 3949238.if that's ok when the washer is in spin does the motor run,if it does you broke the motor coupling, this is located behind the motor, let me know what you find and if you could answer the questions i asked i can help you out better

Washer heavy duty cycle issue

Lid Switch Assembly

If the washer stops mid cycle the lid switch assembly might be defective. This is a very common problem. The lid switch assembly can fail either mechanically or electrically. Test any electrical switches with an Ohm meter for continuity. The switches should have continuity according to their design.

Door Lock Motor and Switch Assembly

If the washer stops mid cycle the door lock assembly should be checked. The door lock can fail either mechanically or electrically. Test any switches on the door lock with an Ohm meter. The switches should have continuity according to their design.

Water Inlet Valve

If the washer stops mid cycle the water inlet valve cold water side may have failed. Most washers have a cold water rinse and so if they can't fill with cold water they just sit indefinitely waiting for the cold water to enter. If there is cold water to the water inlet valve and the cold water works in other parts of the cycle - or to make warm water - the valve is not the problem.

Main Control Board

If the washer stops mid-cycle the main control board might be defective. This is not common. Check other causes first such as the lid or door switch and other components.

Timer

70 Series Kenmore Washer Agitates in Heavy Duty regardless of switch selection

Yours is a 2 speed motor. Does it spin in 2 different speeds. If so, then it most likely is designed with only to agitate in 1 speed. If it only spins in one speed, then your motor is defective

Kenmore washer - water won't drain. It stops

If the water drains between the wash and rinse cycles, your motor and pump are probably OK. If this is a machine with a dial, try a different cycle, like normal instead of heavy duty. If that works and the machine completes the entire cycle then the timer probably has a bad spot. You might try to find a replacement timer if that is the case although I didn't have any luck with my 10 year old washing machine. Best of luck

Kenmore washing machine model 110 wash cycle stops

DOES IT DO THIS ON EVERY WASH OR SOMETIMES? IF SOMETIMES, CHECK LID SWITCH( THERE'S A LITTLE HOLE WHEN YOU OPEN THE LID, ON THE LID SHOULD HAVE A LITTLE PLASTIC PIECE THAT GOES IN THAT HOLE. THE SWITCH IS UNDER, INSIDE THAT HOLE. YOU CAN GET A PEN OR KEY TO SEE IF IT'S BROKEN.)

Kenmore heavy duty 2 way tumble washing machine

You may have a broken inner tub spider. Check for play between the inner drum and the outer tub by moving the inner drum up and down.
If there is excessive play, the spider is broken causing an unbalanced load and therefore no high speed spin can be achieved.

In this case the inner drum would need to be replaced, which means taking the machine almost completely apart. A good tech can do it in about 1.5 hours.
