Problem with page cut-off

We have 2 of these machines and both of them will leave the top 1-1/2" of information off whatever you are faxing out. We use them at the office and it always cuts off our company info and purchase order number and date. It doesn't matter what goes through there it still leaves it out. We can receive faxes with no problem, everything prints. Its only we we try to send information out.

See pages 92 of the manual to "rotate the white roller"

The procedure rotates the roller a quarter turn each time.
You might have to repeat it a few times in order for thit to be set at the right position.
I tested mine using the copy function as well as a TEST FAX to a another fax machine.
Good luck!!

Thanks GUEST (Solution #2). I had same problem and your solution fixed it. I had to run the page 92 procedure 3 times, then voila. Great job.

An easy fix would be to rotate the document 180 degrees.

Check the document feeder for obstructions or a trapped down switch.

The printer cuts off the top part of the document when printing. Is this a margin issue?

Yes, most likely your application's margin settings are incorrect. Try printing a test page - NOT from the application. If this is Windows, go to printers in control panel, right-click on the subject printer, choose Properties, then click the Print Test Page button. You should get the standard Windows printer test page with the logo at the top and all the printer specifics below. If the test page is also cut off, look around in the HP-provided software for any margin and/or page size settings that are incorrect, such as A4 paper when it should really be Letter size.

Hi, when i send a fax in this machines the page comes small. Why? Thanks

Most fax machines have to insert a name and time onto the top of the header of the page they send...this takes up a small amount of space therefore if you assume you page of information to be 100% then it has to be reduced slightly to allow this information header to be inserted on the page at the receiving end....the amount of reduction should only be down to about 95% but this is normal on all fax machines.

Blank print top 1 inch has print Toner cartidge has been changed

I need more information. If you make 20 copies do you still notice the problem or only when you receive a fax. What is your copy count (press life 1). Does it jam or make noises. At first glance I would say phone line problem. .

Muratec F360 Plain Paper Laser.. i need to change the time

What is printed on the top of your received fax's is determined by the sending machine. If the user at the other end does not have name ,date and time programmed into their machine correctly then you will get printed on the top of your received page whatever is in their machine.
