Mitsubishi 52inch tv keeps turning off with the following message: tv will turn off - ck if air-flow is blocked - nothing is blocking the air-flow around including the backside? not sure where the block is.......

With the 52" DLP , there are 3 fans, 2 of which you can see. the 3rd is similar to what you would see on a CPU. To get to this fan you must pull out the back of the set, at the bottom you will see a metallic channel that runs over to the filter on the side of the tv. un do the screws holding it down and you will find the mini fan. this may be the fan that is beginning to fail, as well as you will find that the heat sink is probably covered with ****, you will want to vaccum that stuff off to get the max heat exchange. To replace that mini fan, you can either go to allied or digikey to get a comparable fan with possible more CFM than the stock or go through some where you can a OEM replacement fan.

these are on mitsubishi's recall list you need to get in touch with mitsubishi and have them find a authorized servicer in your area to come put a thermal sensor in your set.

Mitsubishi wd-65731 ,won't be able to keep it turn on

Call Mitsubishi at 1800-332-2119. Explain the symptom and they should be able to direct you to a service facility that will replace a Temperature Sensor at no charge to you. It is a known failure. Good Luck. Don't wait to call.

Air flow blocked...turning off in a few seconds message

"air flow blocked" means its getting too hot. or it thinks it is. it is quit common on these set that the thermal sensor has malfunction replaceing this sensor is your solution. since this is service bulliteen item at service centers of mitsubidshi products this may be an item covered under warrenty. so i would first check with you local service shop too see before

Tv get error message

this is an itrm that mitsubishi as issued a bulliteen to service centers about. It ivolves a faulty thermal sensor that needs to be replaced. Ussally this is something that is covered under warrenty i suggest you contact a local tech and ask if covered. replacement guides online in pdf format at manufatures website

most rear projectors will turn themselves off whenever the lamp is dead. what we call protective mode. in this case the yellow light may be for the lamp. otherwise check if all the fan are working properly.
But MAKE SURE you let sufficient time for the tv to cool off before unplugging the main.

AIr flow is blocked?.....is this the message you get on screen mitubishi have a problem with what is called the thermal sensor.. the processor says its getting to hot... mitsubishi suggest service center replace this thermal sensor.

Message on screen says tv will shut down ck air vents for blocks

you must have a wd series mitsubishi..the lamp tempurature sensor has a manufacturing problem..mitsubishi has an updated one to take care of the problem..the sensor itself is not bad it is the way the wires are crimped in the plug,,the new one is soldered..the part number is 299P313010A,
