I'm not familiar with that particular model, but with many of their models (and many other manufacturer models as well), unfortunately the beep cannot be turned off.
Hi Carole,
Dear you most probably have problem with electronic control board in your microwave oven.
It has to be fixed by an Electronic Technician.
If you have knowledge in Electronics then I can help you fix by yourself.
Just let me know
I am sorry but this is usually the signs your touchpad is going out and the part alone retails for a lil over $300.00. You know your needs better than anyone but in my home we would just keep dealing with it untill it drove us crazy, or quit being usable. Basically the buttons you press are worn and making contact without being pressed.
On my Danby this was a reminder that you had nuked something and had left it in there. If it stops when you open the door then this is all it is. It should beep about once every 15 or 30 seconds.
Other than that I don't know of any other regular timed beep that my Danby made.
Put the probe in the oven and beeping stopped. Left it in overnight and next morning took the probe out and there was no beeping. Have not heard beeping all day. Don't know why this worked but it did.
I started having the same problem with my KBMC140HSSO. You cannot see the error codes without disassembling the control panel (the codes are on another display that covered by the front panel). After doing so I found the error code to be F2, E3 which is "Key held down too long, or key shorted". I am ordering a replacement keypad and will report back if this fixes the problem.
