I know you said the keyboard doesn't work, but try this anyway:

power up, and hit the "del" key as soon as the memory check is done. This gets you into the BIOS, then check to see if there are settings that are preventing the keyboard from responding (like a keyboard lock switch (external or software ).

Failing that, you may have a bad keyboard. Try while booting up to press F8 and see if the windows will go to safe mode. If it does, then go to the control panel and see if the keyboard is software locked by windows.

Good luck.

ACCESS LAPTOP ADMIN PASSWORD IF KEYS NOT WORKING

There have been several people out there who faced a difficult problem!
Suddenly when logging in on their laptop they realized that the keyboard or certain keys off their laptop keyboard have given upp!!!!
often some off those keys were ADMIN PASSWORD keys locking them out from their system and all their files, making them inaccessible to their computer!!!!
This solution is cruzial if your laptops keyboard is malfunktioning,
and you need a fast and safe access to your system.
This problem can occur when you least expect it and fast access can be cruzial, like in middle off a busy day at the office when you just cant wait
for service. (have this tip in mind when this kind off problem occur.)

THE SOLUTION: Its simple as long as you can access an external keyboard (borrow from your neighbour or from your work) if you dont have an own near by.
Just plug in the external keyboard and restart the computer and
you are now able to login to your computer again.
a simple solution to a major problem!
Hopefully you liked this solution or even better if this solution saved your day :-)

How do I connect this keyboard to the computer

Keyboards connect several ways. Older systems use a PS/2 connector (round) that plugs into the purple/gray jack on the back of the computer. The mouse plugs into the green jack next to it.
If you have a USB keyboard, it plugs into any USB slot.
PS/2 connections must be made with the computer off. USB connections work any time. If one slot doesn't work, try another.
If the keyboard doesn't work, try another.

My f10 lite is on and keyboard won't work

Unplug it and replug it, if it still doesn't work restart your computer. If it still doesn't work, it could be the keyboard, or it could be the port it's connected to.

I cant get the keyboard the respond to the hub, the mouse works fine but not athing from the keyboard. I have even put different batteries in.

I have this problem to sometimes. Hold the keyboard connect button with the hub connect button at the same time. If this doesn't work then restart the computer. If this does not work reinstall the software.

I was using my laptop and now for some reason I can't type on the keyboard or log off. Did I hit a key and lock it? How do I unlock it?

Use the touchpad and right click on the Taskbar then click on the Task Manager to open it. In the Task manager, click on the users tab to view the list of the logged on users then click on the username that you want to log off then click on the Log off button.
After logging off again use the touchpad to restart the Computer by selecting the appropriate option.
As the Computer is restarting press the button that says on the screen to press to enter to SETUP screen. This will make the Computer boot to the BIOS. In the BIOS check if the keyboard is working by pressing the arrow keys to select the Exit menu to select the restore to default option.
If the keyboard is not working in the BIOS then the keyboard is failed and service is required.
