I have a Hitachi 43fdx01b and I have just replaced the two convergence chips because of a "Red" convergence issue. I learned the hard way about the desoldering and resoldering, but got it done. Now i have a "BLUE" convergence issue and can't get it to adjust.

Did you check the resistors by the convergence chips? check to see if they are open. the resistors are usually lined up on the other side of the heatsink as the convergence chips.

RK42 2.2 ohm 1 Watt
RK46 1.5 ohm 1 Watt
RK50 2.2 ohm 1 Watt
RK54 1.5 ohm 1 Watt
RK58 3.3 ohm 1 Watt
RK62 1.8 ohm 1 Watt

the convergence chips to be used are
IK04 STK394-160E Part #: CZ01341
IK05 STK394-160E Part #: CZ01341

Red and green waves...double vision ...how old...how valueble...hitachi 43FDX01B

Try adjusting the convergence. If it won't move see below- (or hitting Magic Focus for some Hitachi’s)

This sounds like convergence output IC problem. convergence board would have to be removed - remove and replace 2 STK IC's and check the surrounding resistors. Shops usually $200-$400 Be sure to vote/rate me if this helped Thanks!
