I have just bought the 42 Inch Vizio from costco and it worked fine for two weeks and then the remote stopped working. Also the DishNetwork remote which I used to control the TV and the DN 622 can not control the TV anymore. I searched the manual setup and there is nothing to configure the remote. Any suggestion? Did the TV go bad? P.S. my remote that came with the TV is a single TV remote, it does not have TV selection

We're sorry to hear about Vizio TV remote, but we would be happy to help you with getting your DISH Networkremote to control your TV. We're going to start by pressing and holding the TVbutton located on the top of your remote until all mode button back lights comeon, and then release. Use the number buttons to enter the codes for your Vizio TV; here some of the codes we currently have: 505, 598, 627, 520, and 766. Press the pound (#) button. To check that the code works try severaldifferent functions on the remote to make sure it will properly operate the TV.Remember that some codes may not be compatible with your equipment. If this isthe case, try the other codes listed for that device until you find one that iscompatible with your equipment.

We hope this helps and thank you for being a valued DISH Network customer!

My Vizio LCD TV screen fades to dark. Sound stays on.

I w having this same issue when watching a Blu-Ray disc. I found it to be dependent upon what picture mode the TV was set to. By this I mean certain picture modes would cause the TV to dim during dark scenes of a movie. Changing the picture mode helped a lot.

Vizio remote control not working

Hi, I had the same problem. My vizio remote for my 42 inch 2 month old vizio also seemed to stop working. Here's what I did: My vizio remote (like most remote's nowadays) was designed for multiple components (tv, dvd, vcr, etc). All you need to do to make the remote work again is set it back to tv. Now, the confusing thing about vizio remotes is that they actually have TWO places where you can switch the remote to the appliance you want to control. One is on top of the remote, the other is on the BOTTOM. Switch it back to TV using the BOTTOM. My remote had stopped working because I had inadvently switched it to another component on the BOTTOM component switch.

Need vizio code for Samsung remote!!

I have a 37 inch vizio and had the same problem. After a little web research, I came across a suggestion that the LG codes might work. I tried it and found that the code 19 worked. You might try that. If 19 doesn't work for you, one of the other LG codes might (they are 06, 21, 22, 23 or 78).

Vizio LCD

Pretty good chance the logic board is defective. all remote and manual command go trough the logic board via a micro prosseor. If that is bad the set gets false commands. If the run number is the same on that model they probably all have the same problem.. Get another brand not made in China.

Green screen vizio lcd

My 37" vizio I bought in Dec 2007 did this (green screen at start-up on all inputs). At first it went away by itself after you left the unit on for 15 minutes, but then 2 days later the whole thing DIED. Luckily Costco has a 90 day return policy on TVs.

Vizio tech support suggested this (before it died that is):
Please try to reset all setting and then to see if the problem is solved. 1. Press the Menu on your Remote Control;
2. choose Set up on the OSD;
3. then choose Reset All settings;
4. Press the Exit on your Remote Control to remove the OSD.
