Go to downtown and areas alike, where everyone should get a good connection, if your phone still drops out, you talk to whomever you purchased the phone from.

The strenght of signal coming to the phone in basement is weak.This is due to the all intreptions like wall bulk heads.Normally it very hard to get signals in basement.You cannot do anything about that.

If u are a Technician then open ur mobile handset by T-6 screw driver and firstly wash ur network antina and IC areas by a toothbrash with PCB cleaner.Check the network connecter make a jumper from network connecter to connecter pins by micro soldering IRON and give some hot air to network IC with pest.If u are not a technician then its better to go ur nearest NOKIA care center.If u are saticfied withmy information then please vote me. How old is ur fone??? if its more than a year n heavily used it might be the right time to change ur internal antenna..

You need to simply restore your phone. Try 12345 it is the standard code settings... *#7780# type this simply and confirm your security code. And your nokia 6300 is Like new again.
