Light keep on flicking on and off

Whats happen is the machine has gone into stand by because the doors was left open to sort it out what you need to do is
turn the freezer knob to off then turn it back on again this should restore it.

door light switch Need full model # for better idea .
but normal switch should be at bottom of door or at hing side of ref
some model have at top it may be broke off and thats why you don't see it send us a full model number we will find for you

I believe that a short circuit creates a defective light bulb inside the refrigerator or some other element in its circuit (door switch, lamp socket, wiring).

Solved beeping problem.........Samsung SRS539HW . Have one of these and it is 6 years old. I had to replace the bottom hinge on the fridge side(right). Easy job but now constant beeping as if door is open, and light is intermittent. Found that there is considerable wear on the cable through top hinge of door and one of the wires from a magnetic reed switch in door had broken. I discovered this by shorting the two fine wires (white and pink/white) going to internals of fridge.No more beeping due to door opening and light now working correctly. Of course I no longer get a beep for a valid door open to long but cheaper than getting a refridgerator expert in.

Have you cleaned the switch actuator? It is usually located on the door frame since it is activated by the door. Some times accidental spills will keep the switch from working correctly.

faulty door lock (part no INT51)

Hi I am the lady with the freezer that keeps icing up at the bottom and then dribbles water from the door when you open the door. Did you say to pull the freezer out and do something at the back of unscrew the little panel that is inside the freezer at the bottom?

This is normal  the red light tells you that there is a slight of decreased in coldness .Eventually the red light will  disappear after the refrigerator has recollected it's coldness... in 24 hours approximately .....Jack Arevian.(.Aleppo Syria).Refrigeration Engineer...........

if i read the english right, the compressor runs but the freezer fan only runs for a short time. no fan then no cooling. there is a fan stat so that the fan only runs when the evap is down to temp. this may be faulty. also on some hotpoint, the fan switches off when door opened. check door switch operating ok. this may also explain problem with fridge lamp
