Why does my color quad processor show images in black and white?

Without more information to go on I would say that it is in low light condition. If this is equipped with night vision that it records in black and white in low light situations. The recording feature on the DVR may also be the cause. Make sure you are set to record in color.

Night vision camera dark

IF VIDEO WAS OK AT SOME PONT IN PAST, THEN CAMMERA BUILT IN ILLUMINATOR HAS GONE BAD (LIGHT BULBS BURN OUT YA KNOW)
IF VIDEO WAS NEVER GOOD FROM START YOU HAVE ASKED TOO SMALL A ILUMINATOR TO ILUMINATE TOO LARGE AN AREA , ADD MORE ILUMINATION TO AREA OR REDUCE OBJECT RANGE THAT CAMMERA TRIES TO SEE

Not sure how to record at night. is there a flash feature?

No, there is no flash for video. Most cameras have a pretty wide ability to record in lower light. There may be a menu option for low light, but you don't say what make and model it is.

Thanks for using Fixya.

How do i get the light to work so i can record video at night

You didn't mention a make or model, but video cameras that take both still pics and videos do not have a MOVIE function light. The flash will work only with still photos. If you need to use such a camera for low-light videos you will need to purchase a separate movie light.

Trying to record and display says Eject cassette

May be a stupid suggestion but check the slide lock on the cartridge to make sure it is in the record position.
'Night vision' is a term applied too loosely; it originally referred to the original 'starlight' scope that uses a special tube capable of actually amplifying light particles (photons).  More recently, the phrase has been applied to devices capable of 'seeing' into the infra-red spectrum. Since too much IR sensitivity affects the quality of any digital camera, the sensors are normally designed to be less sensitive to that wavelength.
The fact that none of the specifications mentions the minimum usable light level is bothersome. Most digital cameras (and camcorders) have 2-3 lux ratings which is not in the category of 'night vision' at all.

Blurry video recording

Since the camcorder returns to the auto shutter setting and the auto exposure setting when it's switched into Night Capture mode, I would say that might be your problem.  Change your shutter and exposure settings. To do this, switch to Camera mode, turn the menu dial to the setting you wish to change then press enter.  You may have to play with the settings until you get the desired picture. Remember, faster shutter speeds for faster action (stop action), and longer exposure settings for darker situations. Let me know if you need more help.

I don't know how put the night light to recor in dark places

There is no night recording feature for the Samsung SC-DX103 model nor does it have a video light, I just purchased one from Circuit City on 12/8/08 and I might return it because being able to record in low light situations is a must have for camcorders.

RECORDING A VIDEO AT NIGHT

The flash unit is for still photos only. By design it can not be used when shooting video, because it can not stay lit (the flash fires from a stored electrical charge, and needs time to build up another charge).
