have you been using your sidekick when all of a sudden it frezzes or you change the language, just hit alt+@+1+0 and it will reset, when you see the 1 botton ( menu-looks like a circle) on the screen hold r

Contact Mega Mobile Boston Repair Center. www.MegaMobileBoston.com, 617 573 0073. They sell replacement screens for most phones: including SideKick 2008, Sidekick LX, and all other sidekick screens and parts - trackballs, bumpers ect... They can also install the screen for you - if you send them your phone they fix it and mail it back. Hope this helps
if still under warranty youshould take it back to t mobile as a factory defect and get them to fix it as far as i know it sounds like a sensor or such that went out but they wont take it to repair if it is from water damage
most wireless stores have a repair center. but usually takes time. try looking in your phonr book for wireless phone repair for a speedy fix or check out dr cell phone @ 1-877-349-7297. they have a 1-3 day turn around for repairs
