I have a Belkin Router and Bought a mac, every time I come home from work and try and get the mac to reconfigure to the Belkin router, I am constantly having to go up and down the stairs to get the router to recognize my computer after the diagnostics testing. I get on the net for a period of time and seem to get kickied offe. Is this an ISP problem, not recognizing my Belkein router and my DSL Modem? or something else?

If possible, to rule out the modem as the cause, connect a computer directly to the internet(bypassing the router entirely). If it is the router, you could try flashing it back to factory defaults and reconfigure. Log into the router's firewall feature and see if port 443 is blocked to the outside--this could cause https connections to fail.
You can reset the router and reconfigure the router
Open IE
Type 192.168.2.1
For Login leave the box blank and hit submit
Towards extreme left side you can find an option called restore Factory default
Click on it
Restore Defaults> Ok (for discalimers)
Then
Click on connection type(towared the left side)>dynamic>your computer name>click 'SUBMIT'
Click on MAC address> Click 'CLONE'
Then Turn off both modem and Router
Wait for 15sec and then Turn only Modem and wait for all the lights are steady
then turn on the router

If you set up the router in your office it will not work at your home if you have different ISP. Basically, you need to reconfigure the router for it to work with your ISP at home. You may run the installation disc that came with the router to do the configuration.
Try first to reset and reconfigure the router , to reset it press and hold the reset button of the router for 10 seconds while power is ON and then after that reconfigure the router........
Try first resetting the router by pressing the reset button of the router for 15 seconds while power is ON and then try to reconfigure it again but if still not working this can already mean that the router is bad and needs replacement.....
You maybe able to reset the router to the factory default by powering up the router, press and hold the RESET button at the back of the router for 7 secs..
Then open a browser and type in the IP configuration address to reconfigure the router.
Have you configured the Belkin wireless router?
You need to configure the Belkin using a 10baseT network cable first before you configure the wireless card.
To make your wireless router secure you need to use your browser and type in the Belkin IP configuration address.
Then you need to change the Admin password, change SSID and turn off SSID broadcast, setup the encryption (use WAP or WAP2 if your wireless card supports WAP) and for added protection use MAC address filtering.
I believe you are trying to connect wirelessly using your laptop to your wireless router(Belkin 59G). Try to hook it up first on your computer and check if you can go online.
If yes, then that's the time you go to the router's set up page and check the wireless security of the router so that you can connect wirelessly.
If not, then you have to reconfigure the router and the modem. If your internet service provider is cable you can just turn off the router then the modem and waitfor 5 seconds. Turn on the modem, wait for the lights to turn on then the router. After that, check if the computer will be able to go online when connected directly to the router.
