Dell 1100mp projector

I need to find a replacement fan for this projector. Mine keeps overheating and shutting off. I am having trouble finding the part. Does anyone know where I can find a replacement fan for a Dell 1100mp projector? Please let me know!

    I recently bought an 1100mp projector from ebay and one of the front fans is bad. need replacement.

    I have the same problem with my 1100 MP. I haven't solved it yet...but I did determine that the fan brand is Sunon. They have a website and a few options are available for custom ordering fans. http://www.sunonusa.com/ I hope this helps me and others!

    recently recieved the dell 1100mp projector as a hand me down from a family member , knowing this was a hand me down knew I would have some work to do on it , now heres where i stand on this problem , my uncle (person who gave it to me ) did willingly let me know he had previously dropped the projector , knowing this I did a tech on it , popped it open , and have realized they're are the two front cooling fans how ever one of the fans have been locked up due to the impact of the blow whilst dropping it , the past few posts on this messages on this post are correct , that the company that provides this fan has to be sunonusa.com how ever does anyone know the exact measurements on this fan such as 10mm x 40mm , for example, if anyone could provide measurements that would be a great help...

How do you hook the lcd projector to a portable dvd player?
The Dell 1100MP has SVideo and RCA input connections you can use, it all really depends on the type of video out connection that your portable DVD player has.

Dell 1100MP turns off randomly. Replaced bulb but same fault ocurrs? Will stay on for 20mins then turn off, re-boot will stay on for 3 hours then turn off. Now has just turned itself off 3 times in 30mins?...
Sounds like a broken fan. There is two fans fitted, if one stops working the it activates a thermal cut out. I purchased a fan from ebay for £5.00 incl postage size is 70x70x20.

There is one last screw that you may not notice next to the lens. You have to take a knife and pop a cap off to get to it

sounds like you have an airflow problem.

Overheating
Hello,

Please clean the filters for the air and the air circulation path for cooling the lamp.

This will definitely work, pls also check that the condition of lamp is okay or not as sometimes lamp goes with the ballast unit of the lamp and that damages the new lamp.

Dell 1100mp "Temp" Light
I had the same problem and fixed it today. The fan is 70 x 70 x 20mm. I could not find the exact one, but 70 x 70 x 15 works just fine and I was able to find that fan at a Micro Center store for $8.99. The fans should be blowing air out from the front of the machine, not blowing in on the lamp.
